I’d point out that Mike Bay has been directing the last ship on TNT for two years....which means he has been working hand in glove with military advisors the entire time.....and it you watch the last ship...it shows....yes that are plot holes here and there...and the whole “Kirk on away missions” stuff...but it’s a TV show and they have to pack alot of story in an hour and make it entertaining.....but at the same time...the reason the show is a hit is the authenticity of the charactors,their actions, the back round and setting...and it’s the military technical advisors who flesh all that into the show...
And I would bet good money those advisors know damn well who is responsible for hanging our security contractors out to dry in Libya....that would mean Bay knows too.
The movie is clearly from the point of view of those contractors....and while I doubt it’s it’s going to be “overtly” political...there wont be any question that the chain of command screwed our people over and left them on their own.
If you are looking for “benghazi ..the Hillary debacle”...yes you will be disapointed....this isnt a story about Clinton or Obama...this is a story about 6 men who laid their lives on the line to try and save a US ambasador in Libya from radical Jihadists.
The trailer looks good...and I’ve seens Bay’s work....so I doubt he is going to sugar coat anything or make it politcally correct....becuase if you watch the last ship...you know that show is not politically correct.
Bay had no problem making a Black woman a villain in the baltimore shows...
I will watch the movie before I pass judgement on how good the movie is.
