“In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” - George Orwell
I guess Cruz is a revolutionary.
Whenever a liberal gets caught with no way to explain away obvious but very inconvenient facts, the pull this “lets invert the cause-effect relationship and see if no one will notice” ploy.
The good ole boy network has never had to deal with a real maverick before.
Not making a comment about Cruz, but I wish there had been a hell of a lot more bullying, for real.
This is just silly, Cruz calling McGoner on his treachery and Lindsey Graham admitting McGoner did lie.
Too rich!!!
I didn’t know that the WaPo published satire. They trying to take over from The Onion?
They’re just starting to realize Trump is the show monkey and Cruz is the strongman.
Miltbank sounds like he’s having a “flashback” to the 60s.
To Leftists such as the fragile Dana-boy, the story is more about the audacity of someone calling out a liar than it is about a political leader lying publicly. Simple to understand, really: Truth is not a value to the Left.
How exactly does a newly-minted, still-wet-behind-the-ears, junior upstart Senator “bully” some crusty, ancient, entrenched, Establishment wimps who only know how to push around conservatives, like the newly-minted, still-wet-behind-the-ears, junior upstart Senator from Texas but who fold like lawn chairs when against DemocRATs, junior or senior?
Republicans may think they’re standing up to TED CRUZ, but CRUZ has already won the battle for standing for what is right. John Quincy Adams must be smiling down on him.
“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” - John Quincy Adams
This writer has it dead wrong. I see all the tools of a cult. Intimidation is obvious.
Pretty evil attempts to make Ted Cruz feel isolated and unlinked.
This is not grade school, but these are games right out of the grade school playbook.
There was a poll on here earlier which showed Ted Cruz with 97% support for nailing McConnell on lying. The more they persecute him, the greater his support base, and the more hate-posts on their Facebook pages. Which obviously means nothing to them....
How is he going to get them to work with him as President? They won’t. They will ignore him as they do Obama. It would be interesting to see Cruz function as President and if it wasn’t crucial for our country, I’d want to see it because it will be quite a balancing act for Cruz to work with those that are against him in our party.
Oh brother! If anyone is NOT a bully, it is Ted.
Zero is a bully with his pen and his words, but he says them oh so eerily calmly, with an overdose of smugness thrown in. That doesn’t change the rudeness of his words and actions.
Cornhole needs to pull his head out of his arse and listen to the voices of the people back home in Texas. He is a RINO and for lack of a strong opponent and without some democratic cross-over voters would have been primaried out last time. Now that he is elected and safely back in Washington, he doesn't have time to listen to any Texans with conservative viewpoints. Cornyn is a butt-kisser and does whatever the Washington establishment tells him to do. He should be working with Cruz, not against him.
Meanwhile Cruz is doing what we elected and sent him to Washington to do. He is representing the conservative viewpoints of the Texas majority that elected him. Cruz is rocking the boat and making waves and we are loving it. Cruz is a real leader, not the go along, get along, one party politician. He and others like him are called "political terrorists", full of hate and racism or whatever, for being conservatives.
The natives (Washington liberals) are becoming restless as they see Hillary's hopes fading into the sunset. They have no Trumps or Cruzs. In the meantime, they must destroy anyone who would lead the opposition and challenge the status quo. All that, while they seek to find someone within their ranks who has any leadership ability at all.
Senators need to get over themselves. They are elected to represent us. Not to pretend that their party’s leaders are “distinguished colleagues” who are telling the truth.
Ted Cruz bullied Republicans for years. That's too funny. What does he have to show for it? Nothing.
