Keith Richards Still Smokes A Joint 'Regularly' In Morning

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, 71, still likes to wake and bake.

But he's fussy about where the weed comes from.

"I smoke regularly, an early morning joint. Strictly Californian," The Independent reports the musician told Mojo magazine for its September issue.

Richards, who is currently promoting his solo album "Crosseyed Heart," also remarked on the spread of marijuana legalization in the United States.

"One of the most pleasant things to watch is a map of America where it goes, green ... green ... green ... green," The Independent reports he said. "Whether it’s a good thing in the long run, I don’t know."

Watts reminds me of a drummer I knew who said he goes into a trance when he plays. If he thought about playing, he couldn’t do it.

Let It Bleed is the best album ever IMO. Still have my 50 year old copy on vinyl, too scratched up to listen to. Wore out the cassette, working on second CD.

IIRC, he prefers classical music.

I've heard the same about Eddie Van Halen.

I saw them on the “Steal Wheels” Tour, best show I’ve ever been to.

A truly committed smoker could tell Williams Oregon Chem Dawg from Clear Lake California Chem Dawg

Sw Oregon has a sweet cloying scent

Most northern Cal weed is more piney and distinct

Strains matter more than local though

Now if you get above say Eureka/Arcata that weed will be indistinguishable from southern Oregon

Telling fluffy water sucking indoor hydro from outdoor soil grown weed is easy

Somebody puts say Yumboldt or White Widow...similar genetics in front of me and tells me it’s lemon kush or honey bear I’ll know

But you’re right it don’t come with labels

It works for Keith

Not for me

Smoking dope right out the gate in morning

No way

I don’t know how Jagger is moving like he is at 71....it boggles the mind watching him.

If you saw him perform in the ‘70s, he moves like 71 believe me!

Go smoke a fat one!!!

Hmmm....in about 1 hour 20.....
