President Obama on Monday denounced the frequently combative tone of the crowded race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, saying "the American people deserve better" and calling out Donald Trump specifically.

Hours later, Trump fired back.

"He's probably the worst president in the history of our country," the billionaire businessman said during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News.

*snip*

"In 18 months, I'm turning over the keys," Obama continued. "I want to make sure I'm turning over the keys to somebody who's serious about the serious problems the country faces and the world faces. And that requires on both sides, Democrat and Republican, a sense of seriousness and decorum and honesty."

Huh?

That's none of his d@mn business. That decision belongs to the American people.

Something a little scary about that statement.

As my first boss taught me, never get in a pissing contest with a skunk. Obama appears to have missed many of the practical lessons of life.

HE’s turning over the keys? Or is that a threat he’ll keep the keys if he doesn’t like his replacement? I hope Trump jumps on those words. It’ll be the steward who will turn over the keys, not Obama. What a pompous, authoritarian creep he is.

In Obama world, we are in a new era of America and Obama is a modern day George Washington. Everything before in history is bad and all good began in November 2008. He therefore has the important role of only handing over the power to someone who is worthy in the new age.

The doosh (Obama) has serious mental impairments and worse character flaws.

We’ll going to pay for the experiment of the last two election cycles.

Many of us here, said after he was elected, before he was sworn in, this man will not go easily.

Well, it's not like the lame duck has anything to lose, but he may as well join a long list of others who like to poke at the Donald! - let's see where his ratings go from here...

So, Obama’s the worst President in his lifetime...I AGREE 100%. And kudos to Trump for being so blunt...yet again.

But Donnie baby....over the weekend you said Bill Clinton was “the best” - so dude, what gives? Were you alive during Reagan?

Why worry about the keys? I would have the locks changed the instant this POS left the White Hut.

Wow. Instead of “tear down the wall” it’s going to be “hand over the keys”.

I’ve been wondering when The Donald was going to climb up Barry’s ass.

This has to be the most entertaining politics has been in a while.

[Something a little scary about that.]

Not as far fetched as you think. Read the article on this morning’s Drudge Report:

By using his own criteria, he shouldn’t have been given so much as access to a closet in our White House.

Trump: I didn't want to be doing this," he said. "I love my business. I've built an incredible company, I've had tremendous success. But I'm so sick and tired of watching these incompetent politicians who are all talk, no action.

America: Amen!!!!
