Actually Vancouver, like the rest of the inland waters of the Pacific Northwest, enjoys a modified Mediterranean climate. The climate here is characterized by a cool drizzly winter and warm summer drought. It has been atypically dry here, however - in Seattle we’ve had less than 3 inches of rain since April and less than 1 since May. The long term models don’t show any significant precip for the next 60 days.

Hey, Norm, the North American rainforest is dry as a desert this year. My own family in N. Idaho had two fires were burning within a few miles of their very dry timbered acreage. Pray for rain.
