That’s a far better - and MORE CLEAR - policy statement than any other candidate.
You have to stop the bleeding first. That’s what they do when you are seriously injured. Then you look at the internal injuries. I can’t believe that people in this country are so ill informed. It’s sad, actually.

It’s hilarious watching the GOP get dizzy over Trump because he says “border security”, “Iran deal is a bad deal”, and “TPP is a bad deal”. He’s another amnesty obamacare RINO who dares stray from the party line on these other issues.
I saw the speech live. At no time did Trump ever indicate amnesty. The only sane approach is to secure the border first. Trump has already said he would deport criminals and those on public assistance. What happen to the rest would be what would have to be decided once the border is secure.
The politicians all say that they will "secure" the border. Even Obama, but what has he actually done to secure the border? Nothing!
To me the issue is securing the border, and then taking the time necessary to deal with those already here, in particular, the hard working illegals who have established a family and are obeying the laws. Convicted criminals and gang members will be deported. We have to be fair to the LEGAL immigrants who waited in line.
Actually securing the border has been nothing but talk, talk, talk! I believe that Trump will secure the border, and stop the leak of criminals, disease carriers, and terrorists into our country.
NO ONE is going to throw out all the illegals, NO ONE!! Keep holding out for that and the number of illegals will continue to rise.
According to something I saw last week, a good chunk of the illegals getting here aren’t crossing the border illegally, but coming in legally on Visa’s and Green cards and then overstaying after they expire. That needs to be addressed with securing the border to ensure once a person’s authorized paperwork expires, they either file a legal extension or go home.

You are correct, something like 30% of illegal aliens are visa overstays. Other countries will track you down and throw you out if you overstay in their country, we should do the same.
