Come to think of it, that trip sounds like it could be a lot of fun, absent anything going disastrously wrong.

I went diving in the Gulf Stream one time, on a ship wreck in 120 foot deep water. The current was so swift you could see a large ripple on the surface from the stream going over the ship. It can be quite fast.
That’s a long way off course.

I was pretty sure they’d end up on Europa of all places. There’s no good reason for them to be on Io for ANY reason!
No confirmations yet. Seems pretty possible that there could have been a false sighting. We’ll see.

They’ve been at sea for two days, right? If the boat was disabled, is it plausible that they could have drifted that far, given the current and wind action in the area?
