Exactly! No candidate running, nor anyone who becomes president, is going to throw out all the illegals already here. I just don’t get people who believe that is going to happen. Only one, Trump, is talking strongly about securing the border. While some keep holding out for that which isn’t going to happen, things get worse. Dumb.

I really think most illegals pay taxes. Maybe not on their own SS number. (illegal activity using a stolen SS)

I hate to say this, but our country will not tolerate mass deportation. It has become too liberal. (for the record, illegal immigration is in my top two issues).

This might be a reasonable way to deal with it that won’t get people in a total uproar. I also agreed with his comments when he was at the border regarding a fence at the portions that need it. There is not a way, contrary to popular belief, to fence the entire border and keep it patrolled.

If the guy keeps talking sense...he might win me over. I’m a tough sell. But I sure don’t hear any other candidates coming out this strongly.

Sorry. You were correct. I looked it up myself. It just doesn't jibe with what he said in his book written in 2011.

I would assume someone will bring that up in the debates and he will have to clarify.

Well, then the federal government is going to give America away to anyone in the world who wants it, ad that will be the end of it.

“That’s a real endorsement!”

No, it shows just how sad things are. Obviously my support of Trump has to do with other issues, starting with BUILDING A WALL.

A serious question: Is any other candidate even supporting building a wall? I cannot think of any, Cruz included.

I doubt it because a wall will probably cost tens of billions to build and maintain. Deportation is going to be in the range of hundreds of billions.

Trump’s position seems to be the traditional capitalist Republican position pre-911.
Immigration enforcement should focus on the undesireables:
Terrorists
Murderers, rapists, DUI drivers
Welfare seekers. No immigrant, legal, illegal or naturalized citizen should come here for taxpayer funded welfare. Even applying for welfare should be grounds for enforcement. When a person applies for a visa, and then for citizenship, the wannabe has to swear that he will not be indigent. He often needs a financially reliable “sponsor”.

The above is 10% or 1.1 million on whom enforcement should focus.

God bless the immigrants who work, take care of their family, and don’t seek welfare, wich is about 90%.

The only answer is build the wall first.

We’ll discuss the rest afterwards.

You have my support. We need to build wall AND get total control of visas, airports, seaports, coasts. Period.

Then we can talk dealing with illegals.

Haven’t you said recently that you, personally, are responsible for bringing in illegal immigrants?

See #35. “Border First” means Wall, visas, ports, coasts, etc. It’s not ‘just’ about a wall.
