A black woman found dead in a Texas jail days after she was arrested following a traffic stop will be buried on Saturday in a Chicago suburb as investigators gather more details about the circumstances of her incarceration and death.
The funeral for Sandra Bland, 28, will be held at DuPage African Methodist Episcopal Church in Lisle, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, followed by burial in a nearby cemetery.

The cop was a loose cannon, which is why he is suspended, and the Waller County DA is looking at criminal charges, as I posted above with the WSJ link.

The trooper has been suspended BECAUSE the perp was a black woman and they must show political correctness, that they are investigating and willing to destroy a persons life to dispel the charge of racism. It’s black privilege. If it had been reversed, a white perp and a black trooper, he would have gotten a promotion.
She ran a stop sign and she didn't signal.

This is true, BUT, typically, city, county & state LE stay away from college campuses unless the campus police need assistance.
He was passing out warnings - not arresting young women for "lawlessness".

So, why didn't the out-of-jurisdiction state trooper tell her about running a stop sign when she asked? Why did he only tell her about the failure to signal a lane change?
I submit that he would have had to write her a ticket for the stop sign, but could just give her a warning for the lane change, so that's what he did.
He was killing time on a college campus, is what it looks like to me. I suspect it looks like that to his bosses, too - which is probably why he's been suspended.
And you are now criticizing cops for chatting and being friendly.

Some TX universites with small police staffs have informal agreements to supplement security with additional support form external sources. How do you know that this was not the case?
No, I'm criticizing a 30-year-old male state cop for pulling over young college women on a college campus, in the jurisdiction of the campus police, and chatting them up over "traffic warnings".
It's kind of creepy.
Local police bosses are becoming more and more an extension of the Obama and MSM national political correctness.

Here in Houston we have been subjected to news reports about this incident at every hour day and night. The woman was suffering from depression and tried to kill herself after losing a baby. The latest reports are about the huge amount of marijuana in her system.
Friendly chatting, warnings and politically correct suspensions...oh my.
