Maybe trying him for treason right now is a bridge too far.
How about just forcing the release of ALL information that’s been bound in sealed secrecy about his years from living in Indonesia up to his becoming an Illinois senator?
Showing among other things, how he got his SS #, how he portrayed himself as a foreign student, his college records, and how he could make a trip to Pakistan in the 80’s when it was closed to all American citizens?
There’s enough there without even mentioning the birth certificate.
THEN, after getting his true history in the light, you go for the treason charges...........
Big deal. Even if they pass it, Obama will veto and they can’t override that veto.
In short, they will cave.
It will not pass.
Why?
Democrats will vote against due to the Obamacare repeal.
Conservatives (Cruz) will vote against it due to the funding of the Export-Import Bank.
This will not get enough votes to pass!
The coalition to defeat it will be bigger than the geniuses who wasted their time crafting this “trap”.
Repeal of Obamacare requires 67 votes in the Senate and 291 votes in the House as long as the President is willing to veto a repeal bill.

Sounds like either the Dems or Obama will kill the highway bill to prevent this. I guess the only thing we get is the export-import bank bill is killed for now.
I think most Americans like Obamacare because it has not diretly impacted them yet. Most haven’t had to meet the largfe deductibles in emergencies. Many are so uninformed they don’t know about the deductibles.

The private sector in health care services (not insurance companies) has been slowly abolished over the last 50 years, except for things like plastic surgery and narcotic dispensaries, and removing Obamacare can’t revive it.
Obamacare happened because of many preceding events, all of which (but especially Medicare) would need to be undone for the private sector to revive.
What will the GOP do if Obama throws a wrench in their plans and signs it? I mean two months ago they were frantically trying to figure out how to extend Obamacare if the Supreme Court struck it down. Now we’re supposed to believe that they really, really want to end it immediately and completely?
Highway Bill be damned! Tricks, slyness, legal maneuvering ...hogwash! Create a Repeal Obamacare Bill, call it what it is and pass it with the majority we gave you. If you cannot do that, then we don’t need you.

It's a bit like that with dentistry, and now even pet care. There are those who have insurance and there are high-cost solutions for them, often with co-pays that cost what a less expensive solution would. Then there's the uninsured who have cheaper alternatives and more rational choices since they're paying for it.

The difference is that the people will not tolerate the degree of non-care that goes on with dental services when it comes to cardiac, cancer, orthopedic, and other core medical services.
I was fortunate to get my initial training in one of the old county hospitals. It was total immersion, sink or swim, but it was a good system for training doctors.
But the county hospitals were abolished (or severely restricted) because the people in their wisdom would not accept a "two-tier healthcare system".
I run (among other things) an outpatient IV antibiotic program. When I started in 2010, I never expected that 20% of our volume would be horrific dental infections arising from non-treatment in dental offices. I barely knew the problem existed.
But, as you say, there are those with dental insurance (or those willing to pay), and those who go to clinic-type environments. However, there are also those, not few in number, who go nowhere and get nothing, and some of them get very, very sick.
This would not translate well into broader medical services.
Dentistry is more likely to be nationalized than Obamacare (or its successor, GOPcare) is to be repealed.
Unless I’m missing something, this has nothing to do with obamacare it is about the Imp/Ex Bank. The bill is pulled, voted down or vetoed and the Imp/Ex Bank goes down with it. that gives Cruz et al another shot at dissolving it. Did I miss something in my analysis?

A veto also means veto of the highway bill and Ex Im Crony Bank.
FWIW, I wouldn’t put deathcare on this, because that’s too big of a poison pill for dear leader to swallow. BUT defunding planned infanticide would almost instantly start saving kids. He might let that go through. I could be very happy with a deal that got rid of a half a billion of government financing for those demons at the same time their private funding is drying up.
