No Teleprompter Trump
American Thinker ^ | Russ Vaughn

Posted on 07/24/2015 5:03:41 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Say what you will about the Donald, the man is never at a loss to express what’s churning around in that poorly-coiffed skull. It simply flows, freely and naturally, unfearful of media consequences, in a manner that is quickly captivating large numbers of American voters who are sick unto death of mealy-mouthed politicians who parse every word of spontaneous speech for fear that they may say something that the lurking media will pounce upon.

I have been saying for years here at American Thinker that the real enemy of free speech, especially conservative speech, is the liberal media, a force so powerful and influential for only one side of the political spectrum that Republicans and conservatives have grown to fear it while Democrats look upon it as their servile public affairs department. Because of that hostile media environment for Republicans, they have become far too wary of opening up and speaking their minds, only comfortable in conveying their views and positions when leaning on a speaker’s stand and reading from a teleprompter.

Trump is leading the way. The others are fearfully watching and waiting for him to implode. So we cannot let the media take Donald out.

Big Brother controls and rules America’s airwaves and information channels. Information is completely controlled by government. Anyone who speaks up receives covert government surveillance in every medium and where warranted, IRS retaliation. The Progressives rule far more effectively than the Nazis ever did in 1940s Germany.

“Donald, the man is never at a loss to express what’s churning around in that poorly-coiffed skull. It simply flows, freely and naturally, unfearful of media consequences...”

When you know what you’re talking about and you have reasonable, mature, personal convictions... when you are NOT driving an unpopular and dishonest agenda... Yes... it’s possible to speak WITHOUT a teleprompter.

I was at SC rally...he started off by mentioning there was no TelePrompTer. These should be disallowed, you would then see the “real person” instead of how good his speech writers can compose thoughts. Imagine Obama without his...mostly uh he uh sounds uh like uh bumbling uh uh. Community organizer.

Trump cannot insult the intelligence of any black or he's finished. Even for The Donald that's a no go zone.

At what point are republicans going to stop with the back handed compliments, and just say “he is doing great”. This prefacing a compliment for Trump with a sneer is getting old.

Your Obama-without-a-teleprompter sample was very entertaining.

What if he continues to expand his lead? What if he is the Republican nominee a year from now?

I wouldn’t bet on it

I can think of one candidate in particular, who doesn't use teleprompters much, speaks rather eloquently from the heart, and with every word, shows how intelligent, crafty and absolutely graceful and stately he is and how he always upholds the Constitution and speaks highly of it and America.

Knowledgeable on every topic, well versed in facts and truth, and quick to reply to others with solid strength, he is able to come across as the humble, caring and absolute class act, that he is<.

IMO, Trump comes across as an arrogant blowhard, out looking for attention, speaking to what people want to hear, so he can make himself look good. All I see is his pride on display...I don't see a leader.

The most singular important thing in a politician’s life is to have people love him. Not just like him...love him.

That is the reason they read from a script...not an outline...that is written by professional speech writers and reviewed for any statement, word or clause that may irritate any of the potential voters.

What they read is not what they actually believe. Their thinking has been done by psychology majors and their thoughts are transmitted through the mouth of the politician.

A single word or phrase can devastate the career of a politician if he does not follow the script. For example: See what happened the other day when “the Bitch’s” opponent made the phrase “not only do black lives matter, all lives matter” and see what is happening to him now. He didn’t follow the script.

NEVER TRUST ANY POLITICIAN ON ANY LEVEL! They all lie and deceive to advance their personal wealth, power and fortunes. In extremely rare cases there are exceptions to this rule.

Trump is more and more looking like our Man on Horseback. This character often appears in a declining great nation just before or during the collapse. He is acclaimed by the masses and takes power. He changes the nation's direction and revives it. The phenomenon occurs as a republic is disintegrating. Sometimes it is beneficial to the nation. Sometimes it is not. The republic is not regained. Napoleon was one such. So was Hitler. So, perhaps, was Julius Caesar as the Republic was falling apart.

Reagan was a version of that. These men, and they are always men, are dictators and kings and emperors. Reagan was that Man on Horseback but was not a king. He was the once-in-history exception. He jerked the republic back to sustainability as well as accomplishing the usual function of the man-on-horseback of returning the nation to prominence in the world. Two Heroes such as Reagan so close together are probably not in the cards.

In November 2016, if the nation gets to November 2016, we will elect a dictator. Congress has rendered itself impotent, ceding its powers to the Executive and the Courts have become an arm of the Executive. That cannot be undone short of a violent revolution. Such revolutions replace a bad system with a worse one. Our own Revolution is not an exception. It was not a revolution because it did not oveturn a system. It defended a system already extant from an overseas attempt to suppress it. It was a war of rebellion of a developed system against outside overlords.

Trump, himself, won't let the media take him out. The media's defense against Trump, to have a chance to be successful, must be to totally black out coverage of the man. Even that might not diminish him and might well increase his stature. Trump looks more and more like a recurring historical phenomenon- the Man on Horseback.

The MoH rides in to save a dying nation. He usually does not save the society but he does revive the Nation.

This would not surprise me at all.

I've been enjoying Trump's candidacy. It's nice having someone out there who has no problem with tossing out the filters so we can get some honest discussion going.

Personally, I wouldn't vote him for dogcatcher, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate what he's bringing to the table.

I'm still on for Cruz and/or Walker. Either will work as far as I'm concerned, though I'd rather see Cruz even though I'd lose a great senatecritter.

If Trump does actually get the republican nomination, it will just be the final proof (as if anyone needs it) that we've devolved completely into a 'bread and circuses' culture.
