Perhaps a plaque should be added to General Forrest’s grave commemorating his repentance for founding the KKK and tireless work late in life against racial violence and on behalf of African Americans.
Forrest didn’t found the Klan as it already existed when he took over. When it did start getting too radical and racist, Forrest disbanded it in 1869. It reformed in it’s current version around 1915, 38 years after Forrest died in 1877. So not only do they not know their history, they also cant count.
