Why was money for PP included in the budget, to begin with?
Because liberals who campaigned on working with Obama control the House and Senate.

This is good news. What I don’t get anymore on FReeRepublic is the Republican bashing. I just saw several posts saying “and the Republicans are doing nothing.” Well, the facts don’t support that assertion. I believe we need all Democrats on record supporting this PP and its hideous crimes and Obama making it happen. They own abortion and all its horrors.
There is a petition to sign at the link. I would dearly love this to pass. It is a national shame that we do not protect the unborn but instead torture them and tear them limb from limb.
The horrible juxtaposition in the mind’s eye of pre-born infants being scalded by saline, crushed or poisoned and the pampered and privileged PP officials sipping wine and nibbling on salad while planning how best to murder these innocent’s and sell their organs is is truly nauseating.
There are limits to what another should have to suffer because of failed birth control, accidents or even violation. These children are not at fault. With a president who doesn’t want his daughters punished by a pregnancy we move ever closer to the abyss where life is no longer sacred except to its owner and might makes right instead of the rule of law and morality.
The Republican leaders of the House are using this Bill to fool the hicks back home.
They know it will never pass.
If the Republicans in Congress really cared about abortion, they would attach the de-funding of PP to the must-pass Highway Bill.
The bill mentioned in the article is just theater for the fly-overs.

No, they would have never allowed it to be funded to begin with.

It’s a start. Arrests, prosecutions, convictions. incarcerations, de-licensing of certain “physicians,” and systematic minimization of the loudest voices for deviance would be better.
You might be right. Because if by some chance the bill did pass, Obama would certainly veto it. Maybe it's worthwhile theater, but it's still theater.
But it is a good start to see what happens.
Call your Congressman, even if he’s a Democrat in a safe district.
Make sure to get a roll call vote, not a voice vote, so there is a record of those who vote to continue taxpayer funding for this sickening business that kills babies and chops them up to sell their body parts for extra money. We need to know who to vote out of office next year.
This PP mess has brought this lurker out.
I’d love to see someone work up a graphic for the insanity of the US taxpayers footing the bill for this awful group. It would be similar to that National Lampoon cover “buy this magazine or we’ll shoot this dog.”
Instead it would have a sonogram with some menacing forcepts and the words from PP that say “give us your tax dollars or the baby lives!”
Maybe its been done but ridiculing these people feels like fighting back.

Why stop @ PP?
I don’t recall giving Congress the authority to give taxpayer $$ (OUR $$$, stolen from those whom EARNED the same) to any NUMBER of recipients (welfare, SS, mediXYZ, foreign aid, EPA, etc.). In fact, there’s the 5th, 9th, 10th and 13th that says SPECIALLY the opposite.
Yet another dog and pony show from the perfumed princes(esses) in D.C. Watch how the great GOP beat their chest to fecklessness. *Maybe*, after they win the WH too, they’ll FINALLY pass it....along with de-funding OCare and the rest of the political promises make before 2012.
