You don’t say…

According to a Coast Guard officer, the icy conditions are the “worst he’s seen in 20 years“:

A carefully planned, 115-day scientific expedition on board the floating research vessel, the CCGS Amundsen, has been derailed as the icebreaker was called to help resupply ships navigate heavy ice in Hudson Bay.

“Obviously it has a large impact on us,” says Martin Fortier, executive director of ArcticNet, which coordinates research on the vessel. “It’s a frustrating situation.”

During the summer, the Amundsen operates as a floating research centre with experiments running 24 hours a day. This year it was scheduled to reach North Baffin Bay.

But the icebreaker has been rerouted to escort commercial ships en route to resupply communities in Northern Quebec on the eastern side of Hudson Bay.

Johnny Leclair, assistant commissioner for the Coast Guard, said Tuesday conditions in the area are the worst he’s seen in 20 years.

Some pics of other ice breakers in the area:

But the ice is unusually warm for this time of year.

I have to tell this story. I’m in Germany, and the state-run news folks from last night....ran a two-minute piece on how the first half of 2015 is the warmest in two-hundred years (factual, but only since fronts stalled and sat for days longer than normal).

Then they neatly tied in this bogus but true fact that 4,700 folks died in June in Pakistan and India...from the massive heat wave. What they failed to mention....was that Ramadan started in mid-June and almost all of the 4,700 occurred at this point....where Muslims avoid drinking water from sun-up to sun-down. In 95-plus degree heat....over sixteen hours of sunshine....what will happen to the human body if you don’t drink water? Yep....these news guys were stupid enough to tie this fake deal in....when these were people who died for religious reasons and dehydration....NOT climate change. Probably ninety-nine percent of the public bought into this storyline.

Same conditions were present in Antarctica. Looks as though the experts are wrong from pole to pole.

Was algore on the expedition? There seems to be a high correlation between algore apppearances and cold, abnormal weather.

And this in midsummer? Is global cooling inevitable?

Sure, but where did all that ice come from? FROM WATER, that had previously been ice before global warming went and melted it, that’s where! </global warming lunatic act>

We need objective criteria for climate change with measured stands and empirical data to support. Otherwise. get lost

They never close the loop on their “logic” and explain why, if the Earth is warming, it is cold enough anywhere for the ice that melted to re-form as ice. Actually, I’m sure they do have some sort of convoluted explanation for that.
