Joe Scarborough just nailed the GOP's Donald Trump problem
YAHOO FINANCE ^ | 22 JULY 2015 | COLIN CAMPBELL

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough wrote a lengthy Facebook post on Tuesday about real-estate magnate Donald Trump and whether the Republican establishment should challenge his controversial presidential campaign.

"Trump will always be Trump, and there is no need for anyone in the Republican establishment to think otherwise. The best they can do is ride this wave of dissatisfaction and learn a lesson or two from it," Scarborough wrote.

Scarborough, a former Republican congressman and host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," wrote that if front-running GOP candidates truly fear that Trump will harm their party, they should take it upon themselves to bring him down.

"But anyone looking for salvation from party leaders or major money players are looking in the wrong place. The burden of dethroning the Donald falls on GOP politicians like Jeb Bush, Scott Walker and others who have politely played by the old rules of an outdated political system that is no longer relevant to most Americans," he wrote. "The longer Trump's opponents play it safe, the longer Trump will continue his political ascent."

I bet no one here knows that Trump wants universal healthcare ? didn’t know that?

He wants a market driven solution for the poor that can’t afford health insurance...not everyone. That’s different from universal healthcare.

You got that right. The republicans have brought this on themselves. They continually betray their base. We just gave them back the majority in both houses and for all intents and purposed the Dems are still in charge. WE are all sickened and furious about it.

I have no trouble with Donald Trump whatsoever. Everyone of these so called GOP presidential wannabes should be campaigning for the same things Trump is. My only question to the rest of them is why would I vote for you?

Nails it.

I remember Romney in 2012 saying something like, "I challenge President Obama to a debate so we can discuss the issues!"

HA HA HA HA HA Most Americans have NO IDEA what any of that means or what any of the issues are.

Obama just shows us, plays some hip hop music and says CHANGE!

Romney loses.

The message is not to come out swinging for Trump; the message is to start emulating him. From Scarborough's post:

The burden of dethroning the Donald falls on GOP politicians like Jeb Bush, Scott Walker and others who have politely played by the old rules of an outdated political system that is no longer relevant to most Americans," he wrote. "The longer Trump's opponents play it safe, the longer Trump will continue his political ascent."

Scarborough added, "If anyone in the field plans on showing the type of courage that doesn't spill out of a focus group or benchmark poll, the DC Establishment had better hope they find it soon."

I’d like to point out that they are there to begin with because those of us on FR, and conservatives everywhere that predicted this outcome were roundly ignored. In fact, called obama lovers and America haters. Had people taken their heads out of the sand and saw the screaming neon train coming, we would not have this mess.

But they demanded lesser evil ‘no matter what’. Now they are unsatisfied with their choice of ‘what’. Bummer.

Fair enough. To me, the word “hope” means “forget it”. They are synonyms, directly interchangeable.

These are secondary issues. The beauty of Trump, and why both establishments of the Republican and Democrat parties are angry at him, is because he's highlighting the fact that America is turning into a 3rd-world cesspool by allowing illegal aliens, getting ripped off by bad trade deals by internationalists, and watching our sovereignty go down the drain.

Sovereignty, immigration, and Islam should be the top issues of all presidential candidates. We can address healthcare and abortion later. But if we don't address the aforementioned issues, we will cease to exist as a nation.

No, we should support a guy who supports single payer Healthcare and has a popular tv show.

You really need to see the big, overall picture.

Globalists, trans-nationalist bankers, and advocates for illegal aliens/Muslim refugees are chomping at the bit.

If we don't address our sovereignty and protect the American way of life as it has been for 2 centuries, then none of the other issues matter.

Trump is against Obamacare... BUT instead of wanting to go back to a free market healthcare system, he wants to dump Obamacare for full on socialist Universal Healthcare.

Not true, Trump comes out and says flat out in the following article from this year his stand on supporting Universal Healthcare.

Here is the link:

http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/trump-healthcare-obamacare-mccain/2015/07/17/id/657674/

quote “”But I’m quite liberal and getting much more liberal on healthcare and other things. I really say: What’s the purpose of a country if you’re not going to have defensive and healthcare?” he told King. “If you can’t take care of your sick in the country, forget it, it’s all over. I mean, it’s no good.

“So I’m very liberal when it comes to healthcare. I believe in universal healthcare. I believe in whatever it takes to make people well and better.”

When portions of the U.S. become purchased by internationalists from China, Latin America, and the EU, are you still going to worry about Obamacare?

Good job to both of you.

“Meanwhile, TED CRUZ has from the start been honest, clear, and outspoken as a GENUINE AUTHENTIC limited government Constitutionalist Christian conservative. EXACTLY what America needs. He’s not perfect — no one is — but he’s OBVIOUSLY a hell of a lot more “perfect” than showman chameleon Trump. “

Trump can only pull this “Huey Long” populism con because the Republican leadership in D.C. is 100% corrupt.

Depends if I’m still breathing I suppose doesn’t it?

Looking nationalist salvation to a man for salvation that offshores his own clothing line, as one of many examples, is at best, not intelligent.

Basically Trump supporters are saying they are willing to support and authoritarian socialist as long as he calls RNC RINO’s bad names and wont apoligize to the media for anything.

The guy flat out said on July 17th of THIS year

quote:

“So I’m very liberal when it comes to healthcare. I believe in universal healthcare. I believe in whatever it takes to make people well and better.”

“You can’t let the people in this country that are the poor people, the people without the money and resources go without healthcare,” Trump told the MSNBC program. “I just can’t even imagine. You’re sick and you can’t even go to a doctor. I say one thing, can you not let 25 percent of the people of the country because they have no money go without something?”

Trump quote

“But I’m quite liberal and getting much more liberal on healthcare and other things”

I cant believe anyone who is a real conservative would support ANYONE who would say such a thing.
