Doctors Refute Planned Parenthood’s Defense It Uses Aborted Fetal Tissue For Scientific Progress

Pediatric neurosurgeon and GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson says this week that Planned Parenthood’s claim that obtaining fetal tissue from abortions is important for medical and scientific research is “spurious.”

“There’s nothing that can’t be done without fetal tissue,” Carson said on Fox News Channel’s The Kelly File. “[I]t’s been over-promised what the benefits of fetal research would be. And very much under-delivered.”

Yet, the promise of medical research was the defense given for the discussion by Planned Parenthood’s senior medical director, seen in an investigative video, describing how to abort a baby in such a way that allows its organs and body parts to be useful for sale to biomedical companies.

Eric Ferrero, the organization’s vice president of communications, asserted that Planned Parenthood donates aborted fetal tissue “to scientific research that can help lead to medical breakthroughs.”

Carson, however, is not the only doctor who finds that “spurious.”

Dr. Michelle Cretella, president of the American College of Pediatricians (ACPEDS), actually goes one step further.

“Let’s be clear: selling organs of aborted babies for fetal tissue research is unnecessary and prolongs human suffering,” she tells Breitbart News. “Fetal tissue research, like embryonic stem cell research, has failed to produce a single successful treatment for human disease, and both have been associated with significant side-effects including overgrowth of cells and the need for immunosuppressive chemotherapy.”

Cretella further explains:

Adult stem cell research, in contrast, has yielded treatments for 73 different diseases including several forms of cancer, diabetes, Parkinson’s, cardiac disease, autoimmune illnesses and more. Adult stem cells do not overgrow or require immunosuppression, and most importantly, they do not require the killing of innocent human life.

“Each dollar spent on fetal tissue transplants from aborted babies and embryonic stem cell research is a dollar not spent on expanding the success...

There is something I don’t understand about this story. What, exactly, are people doing with these body parts they are getting from aborted children?

I suppose I can see how some tissue could be transplanted into larger humans, and I also suppose I can see how you would use things for “research”.

But you couldn’t transplant a fetal organ into a larger person, maybe into the tiniest baby, but I doubt tiny babies are getting a lot of organ transplants, are they?

So, I’m confused and wondering if instead of confused I should be very creeped out.

The ugly thought crept in to my mind that the same global market for rhino horns, bear gall, placental blood is a big factor.

Plenty of uber wealthy folk with buried animist beliefs seek rejuvenation, boosted virility, etc through the ingestion or application of various salves composed of body parts. And as they all prove to be ineffective, the search spirals down into greater depravity.

How many exclusive and expensive “clinics” promise outrageous results might be out there.

One has only to read history and the daily news to see this in action. Japanes officers in WWII removed livers from living POWs to roast and eat. Africans with AIDS rape babies believe that will cure them and on and on.

After I posted that I googled transplant organs from infant to adult and I found an article on the NIH website on kidney transplant. From infant to adult results are only fair, good results from 2 year old to adult. So if someone goes a kidney from a 2 year old donor, is that a 2 year old who as died or a kidney that has been grown in a lab for 2 years. People who need organs to live are desperate and grateful when they get their transplant. How many question how the organ is obtained.

March of Dimes and Avon are 2 I would definitely look into. March of Dimes does support children and especially preemies, I wonder if they “facilitate” transplants for infants who need them. They are also pro abort and promote screening for birth defects.
