LOS ANGELES Police investigating the death of a Los Angeles man uncovered an arsenal inside his home and garage more than 1,200 guns and about two tons of ammunition, authorities said Monday.
Los Angeles Police Department Cmdr. Andrew Smith called the number of rifles, pistols and shotguns staggering. Many had never been fired and some were still wrapped in boxes, with price tags still attached.
"Our truck couldn't carry it all," Smith told the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/1HFAKVn). "We had to go back and make another trip."

What do you call 1200 guns and 2 tons of ammo?
A nice start.

Not this "arsenal" crap again.
So. Tired. Of. This. Crap.

You could also call it someone afraid to get on a boat.

As far as I know, there are no limits listed in the Constitution as to how many guns one can own. And why are the police taking them?

Still no info on why he died. I guess they don’t consider that an important aspect of the story.

Don’t know exactly what he had but 1200 nice guns is definitely more firepower than some tiny countries have.
I think that would qualify as an “arsenal” if so

Still no info on why he died. I guess they dont consider that an important aspect of the story.1200 guns with the ammo is getting near a $million retail. I woud think his estate would have an interest in retaining the 'arsenal'.

"Police investigating the death of a Los Angeles man uncovered an arsenal inside his home and garage." What was the reason for investigation....??

Don’t these firearms belong to the heirs?
Why are the police taking them?

And his body was decomposing in a car down the street?
Just how long had he been there?

some were still wrapped in boxes —
Here’s his defense (yeah, he’s not alive, but ... maybe a voting Democrat... but probably not with guns ...):
They could not get out and fire!

Well, it’s Kalifornia, and guns are bad, so the heirs are screwed.
To: Paine in the Neck
True but if the police don’t impound them theives might relieve the heirs of anything to inherit. Especially now that his collection has been publicized.
