We don’t need ANY immigration reform we need to enforce current laws and we’d be fine.
Building a border defense zone would eliminate 90% of crossings on the southern border. Fence, sensors and mine fields would be a start.
The Republicans in Congress are pushing “Kate’s Law” and not backing away from Amnesty for illegals in general.
This is an emotional diversionary Karl Rove type issue to be used against Obama and help push the GOP Establishment in 2016.
Obama could veto such a law or under political pressure sign it....either way the GOPe get their emotional diversion from their support for Amnesty for illegals.
But as with all symbolic diversionary emotional laws that skirt the big issue (Amnesty and Open Borders) the courts have the final say and who knows as with abortion laws and SB 1070 in Arizona a few years back the judiciary may gut this law or destroy it.
But the Republicans get their political mileage out of it......
