Scott Walker Signs Wisconsin Pro-Life Bill Banning Abortions on Unborn Babies After 20 Weeks

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker today signed into law a pro-life bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. States do not have the ability under Roe v. Wade to ban all abortions, so pro-life groups are using a 20-week ban as a test case to get the Supreme Court to roll back the Roe decision that allowed unlimited abortions even further.

“At five months an unborn child can feel pain,” Walker said before signing the bill. “As a society we should be protecting that child.”

Wisconsin becomes the 15th state to ban abortions at 20 weeks — which is just a couple weeks before unborn babies are viable and can survive outside the womb. Under the law, an abortion practitioner who kills an unborn baby in an abortion after 20 weeks faces three years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Many states have these laws now; some are on hold by federal courts; do they make any real difference?

If babies that were aborted after 20 weeks are no longer aborted, then, yes, it makes a difference.

Once vetted and upheld by the courts, please God, these laws will make a significant difference. Many babies are killed after 20 weeks.

To me, it’s still infanticide, murder, and I won’t be satisfied until abortions are stopped. Period!

A baby is still a baby, no matter if it is 2 weeks, 10 weeks or 20 weeks.

Of course.

But a rollback is a rollback. It is nowmsomething that we can work from and roll it back further.

Incrementalism can work for us, if we don’t just stop after the first win. That’s historically been our problem, we don’t keep going and either solidify the win, or go for more.

They keep asking when does life begin?

It never ended until they murder. It started with life and created more life. There is no death involved in it till they show up!

Good for Scott Walker.

It's not enough! Walker needs to physically reach into the woman's uterus, save the baby, and punch the abortionist, or else he's a flaming, cowardly RINO!

I'M STAYING HOME!

And as the clown car rolls on, based on what Bozo may or may not have said about Krusty, Gov. Walker continues to lead.

To all of my Badger friends, take it from your neighbors to the south - please don’t take this man for granted. Forward, indeed!

“Reasonable abortion control.”

How can anyone see anything wrong with that? The supreme court has ruled multiple times that constitutional rights are not beyond control. They DID manage to find a right to abortion among the “emanations and penumbras” of privacy implied within the Constitution.

For a declarative, overt right, like that in the second amendment, “The Right of The People,” to keep and bear arms, which SCOTUS has ruled twice in the past decade IS a right of the people while at the same time letting some restrictions in some locations alone sets a precedent.

It seems like SCOTUS, and forces of the left, have “reasonabled” away a LOT of our constitutional rights to keep and bear arms from coast to coast.

Fair’s fair abortion-rights advocates; “choice” isn’t an absolute.

I can name hundreds of people in one town on the East Coast that should have been aborted at any stage of life.

Had Stalin, Pol Pot, Hitler, to name a few been aborted, MILLIONS of INNOCENT lives would have been spared.

There may be tens of thousands sitting in prisons that should have been aborted sparing tens of thousands of innocent lives.

All lives are not precious.

And YOU can tell who is a Hitler or Pol Pot while they’re still in the womb?

Nice talent. You must be so proud of yourself.
