I also saw part of the exchange between an irate group of local blacks and HK Edgerton in Birmingham yesterday.
And for the entire Republican party, it's not PC so they won't say a thing.
Two of the reasons I taught my kids to memorize the car behind them, by make and color:
(1) So that they can look for that specific vehicle when changing lanes; and,
(2) If that vehicle cuts them off and creates an incident, you will be able to clearly describe the vehicle.
I would hope that these folks did something similar; “Honey, see that Brown Charger behind us? They are coming up really fast.”

I’d stand with H.K. Not because I am a CSA partisan (I’m not), but because nobody -— especially not this blameless man -— should be threatened for speaking his mind and living his life.
This is criminal action. I hope they investigate, catch the perps and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

Where are all the #BlackLivesMatter “tweets” on behalf of Anthony Hervey? I guess he doesn’t count as black, and so his life doesn’t count.
Just wondering what the news cycle would look like if a black activist was being chased by white activists and died. Jesse and Al et al would already be on the scene... traffic would be snarled by so many news vans in the area...
But black panthers killing southern supporters? ...eh... No news here.

The hatred factor has been obvious for over a century, now.
Contrast the attitude of Booker T. Washington, when he was the leading spokesman for the Southern Negro (Booker T. Washington Address), with that of the creature of White Leftists, forged in 1909, the NAACP, which sought confrontation in place of traditional good-feeling between the races. The social statistics in Black communities, under the Washington influence, improved; the social statistics under the hate driven course of the so-called "Civil Rights Movement," have been an absolute disaster--even as Walter Williams reminded us, the other day, in a recent column.
The fact that the mainstream media has failed, throughout his political career, to actually analyze the actions, associations and rhetoric of President Obama, has of course served to enable those who want to continue to up the confrontational tactics of those, whom the Left has taught to hate everything decent about America. None of the increasing hate driven violence, erupting in American communities is accidental or coincidental. But the media refuses to put anything in the context that is essential to understanding.
