John Kerry, who knows something about having his war record attacked, savages Donald Trump

by Brett Logiurato

Secretary of State John Kerry came to the defense late Saturday night of Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona), whose combat record had come under fire earlier in the day by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Kerry served in the US Senate with McCain for nearly 30 years before replacing Hillary Clinton as secretary of state near the start of President Barack Obama's second term.

"I have known John McCain for more than 30 years. We've had our share of disagreements and still do today. But one thing I know is beyond debate is that John McCain is a hero, a man of grit and guts and character personified," Kerry said in the statement...

..."If anyone doesn't know that John McCain is a war hero, it only proves they know nothing about war and even less about heroism," Kerry said....

If Kerry was so concerned about being attacked why weren’t his service records released? Unless he had something to hide he should have been eager to release them to counter the attack.

What Kerry should be doing right now, is spending time in prison for treason and for ‘stolen valor’. He never was in battle or in any kind of danger, and he manufactured his ‘heroism’ for future political gains.

John Kerry, from his book, The New Soldier
"We will not quickly join those who march on Veterans' Day waving small [American] flags, calling to memory those thousands who died for the 'greater glory of the United States.'..."

"The John Kerry quote comes in the epilogue to "The New Soldier," the book put out by Vietnam Veterans Against the War [VVAW]. The book's cover features a group of not-particularly sober-looking anti-war protesters (vets, presumably) flying the American flag upside down [while mocking the historic flag raising event at Iwo Jima]":

Note John Kerry's name at top right of The New Soldier

"We will not quickly join those who march on Veterans' Day waving small (American) flags, calling to memory those thousands who died for the 'greater glory of the United States.' "

So John Kerry would have a difficult time marching with those waving small American flags yet had NO problems marching with those waving HUGE VIETCONG FLAGS?

The fact that Kerry comes to his aid tells me everything I want to know!

Ditto.

Hey, Kerry! Released that form SF-180 yet?

No? What are you hiding, you miserable P.O.S.??

And, what happened to that $1M to be collected if the Swift Boat Vets claims could be disproven? Collected on that yet?

Democrats could do more damage to Trump if they admitted to using the exact same attacks on McCain in 2008.

Then pivot and say Trump is more like us than he is a true conservative.

Now that would be harder hitting than Jiohn Kerry’s faux outrage.

The left were experts in kissing McCain’s tail in 2008, til he became the nominee, then it was attack after attack. They are using McCain to smear Trump because they know Trump is the biggest threat to them..notice now the media has stopped talking about illegal immigration, they know they can use what Trump said against him

Kerry and McCain are both losers, one loses because he’s on the unethical and immoral side, and the other loses because he collaborates with, and shills for the unethical and immoral side.

Quite frankly, pretty much unless you turn tail and run, or avoid serving, I’ll just assume you served whit honor. Not my place to say otherwise.

March 2004:
The Vietnam Veterans Against the War:
Assassination Plot --was John Kerry at the meeting or not?

"Mr. Kerry denies being present at the November 12-15, 1971, meeting in Kansas City of Vietnam Veterans Against the War, and says he quit the group before the meeting. But according to the current head of Missouri Veterans for Kerry, Randy Barnes, Mr. Kerry, who was then 27, was at the meeting, voted against the plot, and then orally resigned from the organization.

Mr. Barnes was present as part of the Kansas City host chapter for the 1971 meeting and recounted the incident in a phone interview with The New York Sun this week.

In addition to Mr. Barnes’s recollection placing Mr. Kerry at the Kansas City meeting, another Vietnam veteran who attended the meeting, Terry Du-Bose, said that Mr. Kerry was there.

There are at least two other independent corroborations that the "antiwar" group Vietnam Veterans Against the War, of which Mr. Kerry was the most prominent national spokesman, considered assassinating American political leaders who favored the war."

Kerry can't recall being at '71 parley
By Michael Kranish, Globe Staff | April 1, 2004

April 2004:
"Kerry has long been portrayed as not being at the Kansas City, Mo., meeting because Kerry recalled quitting the organization at an acrimonious July 1971 session, four months before the November meeting at which the assassination plot was discussed.

But last week, the Kerry campaign seemed to leave open the possibility that he had attended the November session, after historian Gerald Nicosia said he had found an FBI document that he said indicated that Kerry was there.

As a result of Nicosia's assertion, Kerry's campaign said in a statement that while Kerry did not remember being at the meeting, "If there are valid FBI surveillance reports from credible sources that place some of those disagreements in Kansas City, we accept that historical footnote in the account of his work to end the difficult and divisive war."..."

As I just posted on the other thread, some posters this morning pointed out that Trump was clumsily repeating a joke used earlier by both Chris Rock and Al Franken. For that reason, Kerry and the rest of the libs might just want to let this one slide.

Hard to think of ANYTHING BETTER than having Kerry attack you, if you want to unify support from the Republican base.

It is hard to believe just HOW STUPID the Democrats are at this point - usually they are much smarter than us, but not with Trump, not even close.

Agreed, they don’t know how to handle this. Trump will probably bump up a notch or two in the polls.
