During a taped interview that aired Sunday morning on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Dana Bash asked Governor and 2016 Republican presidential hopeful Scott Walker if he thought “being gay was a choice.”

Walker — who was traveling between campaign stops in Iowa — said that “I think that this isn’t an issue I need to be involved in. The bottom line is that I’m going to stand up and work hard for every American, regardless of who they are, no matter where they come from, no matter their background. I’m going to fight for people, no matter if they vote for me or not.”

Bash followed up, “To act on behalf of people, to do that properly, you have to understand, have an opinion on who they are and where they’re coming from.”

“I don’t have an opinion on every single issue out there. I don’t know, I don’t know the answer to that question. I don’t know what the answer to that is. I’m going to spend my time focused on things I can work on.”

Walker had a good answer and should stopped there instead of giving her the courtesy of a follow up remark. All the gop need to learn how to smack down the gotcha questions.

Some questions are too dumb or vicious to deserve an answer. No apologies.

You backed the wrong horse. Again. Accept it, learn from your mistakes, support a conservative and move on.

This is how The Huffington Post headlines it.

Instructive! Notice where the quotes are.

MSM headline lie.

You’re doing the MSM work for them.

Move on to more honorable behavior.

I don't see anything wrong with that quote, especially in its context.

Walker is a RINO with Romney staffers that loathe conservatives. If the Media exposed that then good on them.

Fox misquotes Trump and conservatives all the time.

Both have zero credibility with me.

Thanks to the corrupt media, we now have to question what presidential candidates have said about an issue as much as we have to question what Pope Francis actually said about an issue.

He may not be as conservative as all of us would like, but if he is the candidate I will do everything I can to see he is elected.

He is correct on most if not all the issues and he knows how to win under intense pressure.

Hillary absolutely must not win this election.

Yea every year theres always a new reason we have to keep Satan out of office with a ‘lesser evil’ instead of electing a conservative. And people are obviously too stupid to learn from history it seems.

I shudder to think what kind of answer Trump would give to that question.

I'm not a huge Walker supporter but I have to say he handled that question better than most of the other candidates would have.
