Secretary of State John Kerry defended the Obama administration's decision to take the Iran deal to the United Nations before the U.S. Congress votes on it. Kerry made the remarks in an interview this morning on ABC News:

The ABC reporter, Jon Karl, asked, "But the bottom line, the UN is going to vote on this before Congress gets to vote on this?"
"Well, they have a right to do that, honestly. It is presumptuous of some people to say that France, Russia, China, Germany, Britain ought to do what the Congress tells them to do," said Kerry. "They have a right to have a vote. But we prevailed on them to delay the implementation of that vote out of respect of our Congress."

Groan ...
Does this idiot not know how treaties are ratified in this country? We don’t tell other countries what to do. The congress tells our government what to do.
What did he do while he was senator? Get the IRS to keep him up to date on rich widows?
It is presumptuous of some people to say that France, Russia, China, Germany, Britain ought to do what the Congress tells them to do But it is not presumptuous to say that the USA has to surrender its own sovereignty and get told what to do by the UN and those member states backing Iran. Nice logic. Kerry seemeth to have a devil.
Sedition and probably treason are Kerry’s forte.
It’s what an anti-American idiot would say. At least he is dumb enough to show his true colors, yellow, as always.
Political spin and gamesmanship.
They are counting on the UN to vote in the affirmative for this deal in an effort to a) put pressure on the Senate, and b) invoke the narrative that the President is respected internationally while congress is out of step with the world community.
These people just make up s#it as they go along. The legislative deal mandated congressional approval first.
Nice timing too, stall just long enough to bring the deal in during summer recess.
Oh well, what’s the difference? The Congress isn’t going to do anything anyway. And he knows it’s full of Democrats and make- believe* Republicans.
Make- Believe Republicans= more interested in attaining power and money than in fulfilling their promise to their constituencies. Led by criminals like Boehner, McCain, Corker, McConnell et. al.
Only for a traitorous, half-wit goon.
Never send and 8th grader to do a Senior’s job, even in politics, but we’ve done it.
Hopefully he’ll bike to the UN.
Wow. Just wow.
How many of those countries arses have we bailed out lately?

I remember then Senator Kerry saying “Nothing bad happened after we left Viet Nam.”
A very large majority of republicans subscribe to a unilateral foreign policy whereas most dems are multilateralists.
For the GOP, the Obama/Kerry multilateral agreement on Iran is no different from the multilateral agreement on Libya.
Both are "leading from behind" and "weakness".
And to take it to the UN, which is even more multilateral, before the US has a chance to unilaterally weigh in, is even insulting.
The Kirk-Menendez bill preceded Corker's bill by more than a year(Dec 2013) and was the ultimate unilateralist move. But Reid as majority leader refused to put in on the floor of the senate for a vote
Presumptuous. That’s a pretty big word for such a flaming moron.
Backwards as usual, Lurch.
