In other words, Jeb wants Puerto Rico to become a state so that they become entitled to full bankruptcy protection and Federal bailouts, while swinging US Presidential elections even further to the Left.
No thanks, Jeb. How's this for a better idea: rather than Puerto Rican statehood, why doesn't he push for Puerto Rican independence? Then Jeb can run for President of Puerto Rico and campaign in Spanish to his heart's content.
And on his Hispanic ties, he smiled and said: 'I know about the immigrant experience because I married a beautiful girl from Mexico. My children are bicultural and bilingual.'
What a cogent argument in favor of amnesty and open borders!

That boy is slow.
Does Jeb want the same for DC? Then we’ll have 52 states.

Hey, if we keep going we can catch up to Obama’s 57.

Why do we have these ongoing discussions about Puerto Rico becoming the 51st state? This has been talked about for decades off and on.
Why? Why is there a need for an island which is so geographically isolated, so culturally and economically and socially different from the rest of America, to become a state of the United States????
Yes I know Puerto Ricans have served with honor in our military. But does that mean we have to make Puerto Rico a state, to honor their service?

The problem with many politicians today being: If any given proposition has great potential to harm our nation, then they are for it.
To: ek_hornbeck
Not only that, but PR would become an unwavering democRAT enclave. . .voting reliably demoncRAT (more democRTAT than DC).
