California: Most new driver's licenses go to illegal immigrants

After a new law went into effect in January, more than half of all new driver's licenses issued in California this year have gone to people who are in the country illegally, the state said Friday.

The California Department of Motor Vehicles reported it has issued roughly 397,000 licenses to people who live in the country illegally. A total of 759,000 licenses were issued in the first six months of the year.

That is a lot of criminals who now have identification so they can fly and vote along with a long list of other things.

They are not immigrants.

Immigrants apply to be Americans, wait their turn, pay their fees, learn the language and comply with the laws.

Illegal aliens do none of that.

They are not undocumented, either.
Most of them have documents in multiple names.
Fraudulent documents.
They are fraudulently documented foreigners.
They are not immigrants.
It is an insult to immigrants to keep conflating illegal aliens and immigrants.
They are very different.

The DMV expects to see about one million more applicants over the next three years who are covered under the new law.
So one million more cars polluting the California environment. I thought Jerry Brown was the Green governor.

The real upshot of all this is the precedent it sets. If the government can allow these criminals to stay because they are no longer enforcing existing laws what good is the Constitution? If the government can ignore existing laws they can ignore ANY law, including those laws that protect the citizens from the government. All the more reason to support gun ownership.

My understanding is, they get insurance, make the first payment so they can have proof of insurance to register their cars, then they just stop paying.
