To all Trump supporters...some questions
7/18/2015 | Me

Posted on 07/18/2015 6:54:41 AM PDT by TNMOUTH

With the understanding that I will get hammered by the Trump supporters on this page, I have some questions for you about your candidate:

First, WHY do you support Trump? Is it only because he talks tough? Do you have HISTORY to prove he means what he says on this issue?

Second: Other than screaming about illegal immigration (he is right about it), talking about bombing oil fields and that Persians are smooth negotiators, WHAT other issues does he understand? On what other issues is he Conservative?

Third: Who do all of you expect Trump to choose for the SCOTUS?

Fourth: Can you prove Trump is different from his past as a Democrat...can you prove he is Conservative? how? (please don't feed us the BS that Reagan was once a Democrat...Trump isn't Reagan)

Fifth: How do you reconcile his flip-flopping on issues like Immigration, guns, abortion and OBAMACARE and Hillary?

Sixth: Can anyone explain WHY Trump supported Obama in 2012?

Seventh: Why, suddenly, in 2012, did his donations INCREASE to Republicans when he first decided to run as a GOP candidate for POTUS? Why was he a Democrat donor before then? (don't give me the 'Oh, well, he had to do business in NY crap, either...he gave to candidates outside of NY).

Finally, how can you all be certain that Trump isn't a trojan horse? How can recent talking points outweigh his recent history of comments, etc?

If Trump really is who you think he is...prove to us WHY you think this.

Here’s an idea. You’re pretty new here, and you’re falling in on the usual “Vote for my guy b/c your guy sucks!” routine. How about “Vote for my guy b/c he says X, Y, Z and has done A, B, C, and I think he’d be great for this country!”

Why do some of us like Trump? For various reasons, what’s it to you? Sell your guy, don’t tear down others. That’s Mitt Romney/John McCain/Karl Rove crap.

Hello? Who’s a real conservative anyway? I mean Benedict Boehner? Michelle McConnell? Jeb? Juan McCain? You know we should been running things since we got the MAJORITY!

So YOU say Trump is a liberal, well he’s not a Marxist for sure, and perhaps like Boehner, McConnell et al, he’s not a democrat!

He has tapped into the winning issue for 2016, and I have him at the top of my list of who I am considering for President.

They support Trump because they ‘feel’ rather than think. One cannot read his history and decide he is an acceptable option for a conservative. There is far too much liberalism there.

So, like with Romney, they will justify anything to make sure their ‘feelings’ of warm and fuzzy are sated and once again ignore the actual conservatives running.

Then when Trump loses, they will again blame everyone but themselves.

I don’t know in what language you need this stated, so I will put it another way:

Trump has a bad record of keeping his promises.

You need to get over that.

Yes, he talks right on the border. Yes, talks right on regulations. Yes, he has said some encouraging things about guns. The trouble is, it is all talk and I do not trust the man due to his past ACTIONS.

Speaking of past actions, I wonder how he feels about property rights given his past use of imminent domain. I know well how he feels about HIS property, and there is strong evidence as to how he feels about OTHER’S property due to his past ACTIONS.

As for him stumbling across a winning issue, any privately schooled fourth grader could see alienating 65% of a voting public to pander to 30% of 12% of our population (hispanics) is a loser.

It is not about marriage per-se, nor any of the myriad of estrogen issues mentioned in your reply.

Should he be the nominee, I will vote for him. If there is a RINO on either part of the ticket, I will stay home or weaponize my vote.

You were on Cruz threads when you Trump people continued to berate Cruz for certain votes, right? and you lecture me? LOL.

Great answer. I posted this vanity with the expectation that people like you don’t want to be honest about the answers...you are emotional, not rational.

Great to have you on here Norm. It can be lonely fighting these people...

Notice, they can NEVER answer these questions or justify how he is a Democrat running as a Republican?

He talks loudly, that is why they like him.

He doesn’t “support” the Healthcare Bill, AKA Obamacare. Where do you get that bit of misinformation?
Better get the bread out of the Toaster.

Trump said he would Repeal and Replace Obamacare. Are you one of those FReepers that thinks any Politician can rescind an Entitlement with no ramifications? It hasn’t happened in my Lifetime.

Trump wants to replace it with using Market Based Solutions that the Republicans have been touting for Years but never seem to have implemented.

. . and so does your RINO’s (GOPe) who is out there telling everyone: we will repeal and REPLACE Obamacare)! Nothing Trump is saying will stop the American support he is getting, simply because the RINO’s will continue Obama’s liberal socialist policies if elected!

The GOPe has had more than twenty years to make the conservative changes most Americans are demanding and simply refuse!

Nice try!

Excuse me, sir! What are you talking about?

I know that you are afraid of what is happening to our beloved country and trying to latch on to anybody to alleviate your fear.

There is the only one who can do that for you, God.

Trump is speaking out about issues that most candidates will either not mention, or will speak about so blandly that they might as well have not bothered. I support him in that, but I support Cruz for president.

I really like Trump. I like his “arrogance” and his bombastic nature.

------------------------------------------------------

Oh, so now you are a "Trumper"?

------------------------------------------------------

I just finished reading this thread up to your post.

Reached the same conclusion as you have .... Troll.

Combative, stir up trouble, ridiculing other posters, calling FReepers "Trumpers", dodging and weaving, repeating same statements even when provided corrections, pretending ignorance of questions put to him/her/it, yada, yada, yada.

Then when cornered and pressed, suddenly becomes a Trump "liker" who "owns many Trump books and will buy more, etc.

In before the Zot.

I’ll point out that the majority of Trumpeteers were the same people screaming bloody murder that anyone refusing to elect Romney hated America and loved Obama/Hillary/Kerry/Alelrod/the ballerina and any other Dem you can think of.

Some were also LaRaza Rick Perry champions so that pretty well tells you what kind of ‘conservative’ they are. The liberal kind. Which is to say a unicorn.

I fully support trump bashing the hell out or the pro illegal GOP and the illegals themselves. But he’s really a loudmouth in a bar. His record is one of donating to Dems (I don’t care if he donated ‘equally’ to GOP or ot, he GAVE MONEY to dems) is pro choice, anti 2A and as his RECORD shows, not a conservative.

He flip flops on the Romney level. Ergo only liberals will vote for him.

The biggest problem our ideology faces is our leaders have been cowed by the media into being afraid to speak honestly.

If Trump stands up and speaks honestly and aggressively (whether he means it or not), he makes himself a test case. If we attack him, every RINO out there will say, “See, I made the smart move not speaking out. If you speak out republicans will not support you.” Liberals in the media will smile, and we will never hear any candidate speak simple truth again. Everything said will be said to please the liberals, and the low-info voters will think everyone is liberal, and they will vote liberal.

It is beyond my imagination Trump would step our aggressively on our issues, and we wouldn’t try to teach the mealy mouths in our own party that speaking truth is the way to win, not striving to please liberals.

If we turn on Trump, say hello to a future field of Mitt Romney’s, who try to please liberals with everything they say, and never say anything confrontational. Bush being like that is why we have Obama.

Look, I love Cruz, and deciding which of the two to go with is tough. But if I support Donald, and he wins, our next generation of republican candidate will try to win by being tough and confrontational. Once all the candidates are doing that we get the luxury of looking for the one who appears most solid.

As it stands now, if the contest becomes Trump’s, the mealy mouths lose and the establishment loses. I think we need that more than we need an ironclad, absolutely certain conservative for this one election.

That said, if Donald tries to appease liberals, then I am clear to vote Cruz, and we will still have sent a good message - “Look how good Trump did, and how he failed to win by trying to appease liberals.”

Norm, you think your fellow FReepers “feel” rather than think? Wow dude.

Maybe they are fed up and appreciate SOMEBODY talking about the issues that we all discuss on a daily basis here.
Is there anyone else out there getting these issues out to the Public on our side?

As I’ve said before, I’m a Cruz guy but I could Pull the handle for a Cruz / Trump Ticket tomorrow. If the names were reversed, I can’t say for sure what I would do. The Nomination process is a long process and it’s very early.

Not at all. I OBSERVE a ridiculous number of them FEELING every 2 years, voting for liberal candidates, losing and then bitching about the choices they made.

I don’t ‘Think’ anything about them.

“I know that you are afraid of what is happening to our beloved country and trying to latch on to anybody to alleviate your fear.”

You just don't get it do you? Americans are prepared to bring this country back under the Constitution and Americans are not relying on just one election to accomplish this.

Certainly won't with the RINO’s running for office!
