To all Trump supporters...some questions
7/18/2015 | Me

Posted on 07/18/2015 6:54:41 AM PDT by TNMOUTH

With the understanding that I will get hammered by the Trump supporters on this page, I have some questions for you about your candidate:

First, WHY do you support Trump? Is it only because he talks tough? Do you have HISTORY to prove he means what he says on this issue?

Second: Other than screaming about illegal immigration (he is right about it), talking about bombing oil fields and that Persians are smooth negotiators, WHAT other issues does he understand? On what other issues is he Conservative?

Third: Who do all of you expect Trump to choose for the SCOTUS?

Fourth: Can you prove Trump is different from his past as a Democrat...can you prove he is Conservative? how? (please don't feed us the BS that Reagan was once a Democrat...Trump isn't Reagan)

Fifth: How do you reconcile his flip-flopping on issues like Immigration, guns, abortion and OBAMACARE and Hillary?

Sixth: Can anyone explain WHY Trump supported Obama in 2012?

Seventh: Why, suddenly, in 2012, did his donations INCREASE to Republicans when he first decided to run as a GOP candidate for POTUS? Why was he a Democrat donor before then? (don't give me the 'Oh, well, he had to do business in NY crap, either...he gave to candidates outside of NY).

Finally, how can you all be certain that Trump isn't a trojan horse? How can recent talking points outweigh his recent history of comments, etc?

If Trump really is who you think he is...prove to us WHY you think this.

You raise some good points but the idea you can prove anything in politics is a trap question.
The bottom line is that Trump is at worst an arrogant blowhard or possibly an incompetent like Jimmy Carter but he would not be actively sabotaging the USA. There is no question he loves the country and no question he would be better than Hillary. I support Cruz for POTUSA but I support Trump as the squeaky wheel that might help the GOP find its backbone.

Since you are talking in the hypothetical feel free to comment on any of the following questions:
If Trump had been elected president in 2012:
* Would Russia control 20% of our uranium?
* Would Iraq be in beter shape?
* Would we still have Obamacare?
* Would the IRS have investigated Tea Party members?
* Would John Christopher Stevens be alive?
* Would anyone have gotten fired at the VA?
* Would Eric Holder have a platform to instigate thugs in Ferguson and Baltimore?
* Would our national debt be as large?
* Would Israel still trust the US?
* Would the coal industry be in better shape?
* Would a record number of Americans on food stamps?
* Would a record number of Americans be out of the work force?
* Would the IRS be planning to give illegal immigrants back-taxes under Obama amnesty?
* Would Iran sanctions be lifted?
* Would Kathryn Steinle be alive?
* Would the USA be normalizing diplomatic relations with Cuba?
* Would Guantanamo Bay be closing?
* Would the EPA be out of control?

This is just the major stuff we know about. Imagine what is going on behind the scenes

I’d also like to know how Cruz is going to win when he’s 8th in the polls. If people are going to bash Trump, I hope they like Bush.

I like Trump because he is not PC like most politicians. He’s not been part of DC. He loves America. He’ll close the border, he’ll take care of Vets and focus on jobs.

I won’t vote for Jeb, Christi, Rubio, Perry, Pataki, Paul, Huckabee,

At the top the list who I am watching is Trump, Cruz, Carson, Fiorini and Walker

I’m on TheConservativeTreeHouse daily and I have read the article. THAT analysis woke me up. A Clinton vs Bush match up has been in the works for a long time. If one of those two is our next president, our country will continue on its current path of destruction. Trump is an unknown relative to what he would do as president, but I will take it. No one else has a chance of winning the primary, much less the general election.

Trump has value as a lane clearing weapon. He’s the political version of a Bangalore torpedo.

LOL. Pro-Trump or anti-Trump, you gotta agree with that statement!

I think you are confused. You cannot understand what’s going on. You don’t understand why Trump is doing well.

What’s going on is more support for what Trump is saying and less support for Trump as a candidate. We’re not missing things you say we are missing imo. You are misinterpreting.

We want to do something about illegals, about illegals taking benefits, about illegals not being deported after multiple felonies, etc. we have wanted that for decades. Trump is talking about that in a way that has changed the narrative positively. I support that.

We want someone who loves America, recognizes the same existential threats we do, and wants to make America an economic dynamo again. We have wanted that for decades too. Trump is talking about that in the same way that changes the narrative positively.

We don’t want the same old losing liberal republican candidate beholden to donors.

We don’t want a weak sissy candidate in the face of a liberal media and a liberal academia.

Cruz has all the right stuff. Trump says all the right stuff.

Trump’s other views will prevent him from the R nomination. You are accidentally confusing support for what Trump says with support for Trump as a candidate. I don’t know how a freeper could screw that up...but you haven’t been here that long.

you appear to be invested in a different candidate. That’s fine.

Instead of lecturing me, check out the other Freepers posting. We would beg to differ with you.

Right, he talks tough on illegals while saying those hard working Mexicans can stay here...that really doesn’t solve the problem now does it?

Herein lies the problem...Trump talks. And yet, the more he talks, the more he contradicts himself.

I just want some honesty from Freepers...it isn’t misunderstanding by intellectual dishonesty that I hate....there is a lot of it on here.

First, WHY do you support Trump?

Because of what he says and the way he says it. There is still plenty of time left. I might change my mind at any time as more information comes in. I also support others like Cruz, so if I change my mind, its no biggie.

WHAT other issues does he understand? On what other issues is he Conservative?

Donald Trump on the Issues

So, by asking questions about your Liberal candidate, I am starting flames?

LOL...that answer proves my point....you have no idea what your candidate will do other than talking.

Zero RINOs this election PERIOD!

From your statement, I assume that "Zero RINOs" means Conservatives.

Our concern here is whether you know that Donald Trump is not a Conservative. He doesn't even know what being a Conservative means. Listen to him saying it himself at the 53:00 mark. He was talking about repealing and replacing Obamacare and he added this:

Full Speech: Donald Trump Brings Down The House In Phoenix, AZ (7-11-15)

“I know this doesn't sound very Conservative. We gotta take care of everybody, not just the people up here. We gotta take care of everybody. Okay! Get used to it, Conservatives. I love you, Conservatives. Get used to it. Let's take care of everybody, please. And by the way Obamacare doesn't!”

I think Cruz does better than expected in IA and possibly wins SC. He will do well in Florida as Rubio/Bush split that vote.

Cruz carries TX and the rest of the south. Much of the West. I have answered,

Besides, he has the grassroots and the money to make it a long way.
