the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act that Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) negotiated with Obama guarantees that the Republican Congress will give its stamp of approval to Obamas nuclear agreement with Iran.
Worse, it gives Democrats political cover by allowing them to vote against the Iran agreement without actually killing it so they can say they opposed this disastrous deal without actually delivering an embarrassing defeat to their president.
Instead of requiring that Congress vote to affirmatively approve the Obama-Iran agreement before it can take effect, Congressional Republicans agreed to move forward with a resolution of disapproval which allows the agreement to take effect unless it is disapproved by Congress.
...
Democrats who need political cover to vote no will be released by their leadership to do so, so long as their votes dont jeopardize the final outcome.
The resident will prevail, and Democrats like Sen. Chuck Schumer will be able to say they opposed their president and stood with Israel when they really didnt.
...
This week, the Obama Administration cut a deal that will pave the way for an Iranian nuclear bomb. But weeks ago, Congressional Republicans cut a deal that paved the way for Obamas disastrous nuclear agreement with Iran.
So lets not pretend the Congressional debate over the next 60 days is anything other than a farce.

HAHAHA! Nice one!

I’m going to call it the Corker-Obama non-treaty for Bomb Proliferations
Reagan brought a bunch of them in with him. Remember Trent Lott, the cheer leader queen.
“Did anyone really think the Republicans were going to stop this train wreck?
I was 100% certain they would not.”
Here’s a clue. My Congresswoman, Virginia Foxx, is a member of the GOP House leadership. In her weekly email to constituents today she made two points on the Iran treaty:
1) “Preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon is critical to securing peace in the Middle East and protecting U.S. interests, and I remain deeply concerned that this agreement simply delays Irans path to a nuclear bomb and further empowers the worlds largest state sponsor of terror. “
2) “With my colleagues in Congress, I will carefully review the proposed agreement and do all in my power to make certain that we prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons capabilities.”
Notice this carefully crafted statement did not indicate she (or the GOP leadership) is opposed to the treaty, will attempt to obtain changes to the treaty, or will fight to keep the treaty from being enacted.
Once again the GOP has capitulated without even trying. It was over with the Corker agreement. The same thing will happen with the TPP and EU trade agreements. There will be no Congressional review of the terms, simply a rubber stamp.
Later in the letter Congresswoman Foxx made a statement regarding the recent Planned Parenthood body part selling controversy — “At its core, Planned Parenthood supports the systematic extermination of the most vulnerable among us, and it is past time to end federal funding of this organization, which views the life of the unborn as a revenue-generator.”
Congresswoman Foxx once again is posturing. She and the Republican majority in the House have held the Constitutional power to defund Planned Parenthood, Obamacare, or any program since January 2011. Yet the GOP Congress has consistently refused to go to the mat with this President on any spending issue despite the Constitution giving them the winning hand in a showdown. It is ludicrous to think this GOP Congress would cut off funding to Planned Parenthood if it couldn’t muster the courage to cut off spending for Obamacare.
In the fall of 2016 the conservative base will once again be told the GOP candidate for POTUS (probably Jeb Bush) may not be as conservative as you’d like but if you don’t vote for the GOP brand you’ll end up with a pure socialist.
The question for the conservative voter in 2016 given the treasonous behavior of the GOP House since 2011, the GOP Senate since January 2015, not to mention the performance of the last Bush administration when it had majorities in the House and Senate -— Will it really matter if the GOP holds the White House, Senate, and House with a corporatist social liberal (Bush) as POTUS?
TED CRUZ VOTED FOR THIS!
Blackmail?
“the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act that Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) negotiated with Obama guarantees that the Republican Congress will give its stamp of approval to Obamas nuclear agreement with Iran.”
Corker must never be allowed to live this treason down.
“Obama believes in the depths of his soul that traditional America is bad...the problem with the world...and he is going about punishing America and trying to establish a new set of rules while he is in office, to restrict, weaken, and try and ensure that it will be difficult for the United States to regain the position of strength it has long held in the world.”
True, but I wonder if that vile demon spawn actually has a soul.

Not a gaffe. On purpose. They won’t be removed because they delivered the house and senate for the Grand Ole’ boy Party. They’ve been doing this stuff for years and keep winning because of the Lesser-of-two-evils voter bloc.
Republicans in DC are the enemies of the people. The ones in the rest of the country are useful idiots.
It’s more like Kang and Kodos.
How to find out who is doing the paying, how much, and through what avenue?
Surprise surprise
You’re absolutely right. Congress has more power than the President.
Whose the lesser of the 2 evils again? I’m getting confused.
