My survey summary:

“Right-Wing. Your political beliefs would be considered extremely Right-Wing on an ideological scale, meaning you tend to support policies that promote economic freedom and a society based on morals and values.”

I'm not sure what you did wrong.

This is based on what the various candidates SAY they believe in, rather than what they ACTUALLY believe in. That's why Rubio shows up at the top for many people.

Rubio was my highest at 92%, but the only way I could see voting for him is that if he, Jeb and fatboy Chris Cristie were the only choices.

The poll only tests issues and not things such as credibility, which I feel are at least equally important.

But I have to admit that Rubio is one of the best of the "finger to the wind" politicians in chasing whatever issues seem to be popular at the time. As such, I am sure he will be a factor.

Exactly right. Almost meaningless in picking a leader.

Do we expect professionals to put aside their personal views and 'do their job'? Do we want politicians to do that?

Right-Wing
Your political beliefs would be considered strongly Right-Wing on an ideological scale, meaning you tend to support policies that promote economic freedom and a society based on morals and values.

I was 97% Ted Cruz and Rick Santorum
93% Rubio. Yeah, whatever ~eye roll~

I have the same top 4 as you, in the same order, I answered every question but didn’t go all nuanced.

So Marco Rubio isn’t “RINO slime”? They must base it on his pretty damn good voting record rather than deducting 50 points for his openness to supporting shamnesty.

Interesting.

My actual preference is Walker, Cruz, Rubio in that order. Jindal 4th. He’s not listed. I like Ricky S but that ship has sailed.

I like these things but I question their efficacy. This one is very detailed and seems well done compared to most of them.

As for Trump, hmmmmm. Doesn’t appear that most of his public positions are as conservative as most of the other candidates according to these people.

He was my worst Republican, Carly 2nd worst. Linseed was 5th!! I’d back Carly over Linseed!! Maybe she isn’t actually more conservative than him but I hate him.

My lowest rat is Bernie. O’Malley 2nd lowest. Hillary way ahead of O’Malley for best rat. I don’t care though, I’d vote for Bernie before I’d vote for Hill or O’Malley. He at least admits what he is. And I wouldn’t be surprised if his Senate voting record is actually slightly better than hers, it’s better than his Vermont buddy Pat Leahy’s. That’s right, the guy who’d openly a socialist is a smidge to the right of the leading official democrat in his state.

My “picks” according to this quiz:

Rick Santorum 98%
Ted Cruz 98%
Marco Rubio 95%
Rand Paul 85%

I think I might be a little bit Conservative -— maybe . . .

Rick Santorum (86%), Rand Paul (84%) and Marco Rubio (84%). Bottom three were Hillary Clinton (61%), Donald Trump (60%) and, not surprisingly, Bernie Sanders was last (44%). Interesting.

Oh my gosh....do the test again....those numbers for the Democrats are way to high and most have 97 percent for their first candidate. I think you might have not read the questions well enough.

At the bottom of the page, it says only 4 percent of Free Republic is more conservative then I am...........NOW THAT IS NO SURPRISE....lol

I am more conservative then 94 percent of my FRiends at Free Republic.... That is the best part of the poll.

No stress...We’re staying at Oak Island, NC site of a couple of shark attacks. My teen son and his two friends (who we are chaperoning) feel the need to go out farther than all the other bathers. No worries here...

A good quiz to hone in on the issues of today. I don’t agree with the results but it was still a good exercise in finding out where the candidates stand.

It had Rubio at the top of my list too and in reality he isn’t even on my list. He fell off it long ago with his amnesty push. I have to wonder if this quiz was designed to help Rubio somehow.

Thanks! I shared it with a lot of friends too.

I don’t know. I suppose one could take the test and see if they could get it so Rubio was at the bottom of the list.

It also depends, I think, how detailed one gets. I took the test in a very detailed manner, rating the issues and even doing some of the “other stances” options.

I had a friend take it who had, believe it or not, Sanders as #1 and Rubio as #2. Weird.

Okay, so I took it as a game, trying to pretend as best I could I was the most leftist kook imaginable....indeed, I was able to work it so I was agreeing with Sanders 97%, Hitlery 88%, and Martin O’Malley 79%

Marco Rubio, Rick Perry and Carly Fiorina were at 7%, Ted Cruz was at 5%, and Rick Santorum were 3% for my lowest.

Nice area. And I am glad that you are not falling for the “Oh no, sharks” BS. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

Very interesting excercise.

I checked ‘other stances’ on every question and the additional questions on topics that offered them.

I have seen comments here down through #39. Like many others my matches were Rubio, Cruz, Santorem and Huck, with all of them in upper 90s.

Cruz is the only one of them I could vote for, as I have NO use for the other three... especially Santorem and Huck.

I think the game is rigged, since so many of us came up with Rubio at #1 and Santorem had such high ratings.

Perhaps just ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answers might produce different results than the ‘other stances’.....
