Yes, Trump Tops GOP Poll, But Would Lose to Hillary
Weekly Standard ^ | 07/14/2015 | Michael Warren

Businessman and TV personality Donald Trump tops the latest Suffolk University/USA Today poll of the Republican presidential primary. Trump has 17 percent support among likely GOP primary voters nationwide, edging out former Florida governor Jeb Bush with 14 percent. The remaining candidates earn support in the single digits.

But while Trump currently reigns in the primary, he would lose double-digits against Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. In a head-to-head match-up, Clinton would beat Trump 51 percent to 34 percent, according to the poll.

"Clinton was not as strong in matchups against other Republicans," according to the Suffolk press release. "Bush was her closest rival in a matchup that included all voters polled, trailing the former New York senator by a 4 percent margin, 46 percent to 42 percent, with 13 percent undecided. Clinton led all GOP contenders but polled below 50 percent against the top six, with the exception of Trump."

I like how they keep trying to claim that this horrendously unlikable, entitled. arrogant person is inevitable even though she is shockingly corrupt and dishonest even by Democrat standards.

The Weakly Standard, aka the GOPe-buttkissing sycophants, are soiling themselves over Trump. I hope they get a collective aneurysm.

Dems ALWAYS have the advantage, no matter who the personalities are on each side.

It is always difficult to run against Santa Claus promising free stuff to voters.

We were told by the pollsters and media that only McCain could win the democratic nomination in 2008. I am beginning to not believe these folks. I am not so sure they have my best interest at heart.

I hope and pray that you are right, but...the way the Dems manipulate the voting process and vote counting it almost has a sense of inevitability to it.

Please let me be wrong and you be right.

WS ... you've GOT to be kidding ... right ?

YESTERDAY TRUMP SAID ......

Yesterday, he issued a blistering reply on his Facebook page. In it, he describes Hillary as a sad, desperate, scandal-ridden failure. In other words, he describes her with 100% accuracy. It’s exactly the kind of epic slam you wish a parade of mealy-mouthed GOP candidates had delivered to Mrs. Clinton years ago:

Failing candidate Hillary Clinton, who is desperately trying to hold on to her lead in the democratic primary against Bernie Sanders, is knowingly putting out lies about my stance on illegal immigration. I said “Mexico is sending”— I’m not knocking immigration or immigrants, but rather am very critical of the country of Mexico for sending us people that they don’t want. Likewise I am very critical of illegal immigration and the tremendous problems including crime, which it causes.

She is desperate, she is sad, and she is obviously very nervous when she has to revert to issues that have already been settled given the absolute accuracy of my statement. She speaks about “my tone” and that’s the problem with our country’s leaders. They are more worried about tone than results! It’s not about being nice— it’s about being competent.

Hillary should spend more time producing her illegally hidden emails and less time trying to obfuscate a statement by me that is totally clear and obviously very much accepted by the public as true. I am honored, however, that she is attacking me, instead of Jeb Bush. Obviously she knows that JEB is no longer her real competition. The last person she wants to face is Donald Trump.

He won’t run, he won’t file, he’ll bail, he’ll lose and now that he’s leading everyone on the R side he’ll lose to Hillary Clinton.

Does any one actually buy any of this?

Now let’s not shoot the messenger here. After all, they cited their source — The Suffolk University/USA TODAY poll.

Your ire should be directed at the pollsters.

A debate with a robot woman who really can't talk and irritates others versus any other opposing candidate with a heart felt mission and an ability to speak will win on the Republican side.

That person will be helping to bury the GOPe, so there are enemies at all sides for those wanting something good for the people. There are too many politicians with connections benefiting personal wealth growth that don't want that to stop.

I wouldn’t bet the farm. He has hundreds of millions to spare on a race and actually has SuperPACs gathering more money to support him, along with millions of dollars worth of free media every day. Want to help someone else? Look below.

Horrendously unlikable, enitled, arrogant person. For a moment I thought you were talking about Trump. In fact that may explain why she polled better against Trump than against other GOP hopefuls.

Also, where is Suffolk Univ? If it is near NY, that might explain the difference.

These bushies think this particular poll is static. The guy just announced three weeks ago. I saw rove this morning with his fat faced smirk that the poll showing bush a disatant second to trump was “ These early polls don’t show much” but on the other poll — this is really good!!

Even in 1980 the media was spinning hard for the Dems. I remember the alphabet networks had it to close to call up until a week to the election and Reagan handed Carter his lunch in their only debate and wiped the Peanut Boy a week later.
