Kerry: Netanyahu's Comments 'Way Over the Top' (goes on MSNBC to dig the knife in even further)

US Secretary of State John Kerry dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's criticism of the nuclear deal reached with Iran as “comments that are way over the top" Tuesday.

"What the critics of this plan never offer... is a realistic alternative," Kerry told MSNBC. "It's wrong for people to think this doesn't have long-term accountability."

"Israel is safer" as a result of Tuesday's accord, Kerry insisted. "This is under attack by people who really don't know the terms of the agreement."

Kerry said that if Iran fails to meet the requirements of the deal, all options remain on the table.

"The United States doesn't lose anything... by giving them the opportunity to prove this is a peaceful program," Kerry said. "What's the alternative ... go to war now?"

“This deal repeats the mistakes made with North Korea," Netanyahu said earlier. "There, too, we were assured that inspections and verifications would prevent a rogue regime from developing nuclear weapons. And we all know how that ended. The bottom line of this very bad deal is exactly what Iran's President Rouhani said today: the international community is removing the sanctions, and Iran is keeping its nuclear program.”

"The deal will give an unreformed, unrepentant and far richer terrorist regime the capacity to produce many nuclear bombs - in fact, an entire nuclear arsenal, with the means to deliver it.

"What a stunning historic mistake."

John Kerry is a dangerous man. In 1970 he met with North Vietnam to discuss how the war should be ended. He was a zero then as he is now and violated American law, as a citizen he was not allowed to negotiate a war treaty. He should have been locked up in 1970, instead he is finishing the business he started, the destruction of America, except he has authority to do it today.

Israel has always offered an alternative. Don’t give Iran the chance to get a nuke to bomb the Jews into oblivion.

I guess the diplomatic genius of having James Taylor sing "You've Got a Friend" has run its course?

BTW, that's the most embarrassing thing I can EVER recall. Who the hell thought that was a good move?

“The United States doesn’t lose anything... by giving them the opportunity to prove this is a peaceful program,” Kerry said. “What’s the alternative ... go to war now?”

Nice straw man Johnnie.

The sanctions were working.

This is Kerry’s legacy. And we all have to face the obvious truth here. The only reason this is being done is for Nobel Peace Prize recognition and a spot at the grownup table when the UN takes over.

In less than 2 months, Obama opened up relations with a communist country and an Islamic Jihad state. Now everyone is trying to get a bite at the apple.

Sad state of affairs, since as of now, Iran is too big to attack as is Cuba. Just like the Norks, except Iran will use their bomb.

The real alternative is regime change. Obama didn’t support the Green Revolution. This deal cements the power of the mullahs. I lived two years in Tehran during the Iranian Revolution. The only way that things will change in Iran is to get rid of the current regime, which is not popular.

Netanyahu already knew this was going to be a lousy deal. That’s why he addressed Congress the way he did.

That’s always their plan. They put something preposterous out there and then say....well the critics have offered nothing. Then the Republicans start digging and scratching to join their plan and it works every single time.
Makes me ill that the Republicans are so stupid they fall for it every time.

I don’t know what to think, other than to know that this is a bad deal. If it was up to me and most people here, we would have bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities a long time ago.

That having been said, I have no idea how close Iran is to a bomb. We’ve been hearing that they’re a year away from going nuclear for over ten years. In Netanyahu’s press conference, he alluded to Iran having nukes within ten years from now. They may already have them for all I know. I’m assuming the Israelis know, but I don’t.
