Judge Decides: ‘Arrogant’ Dinesh D’Souza has to do way more community service than he thought

Conservative scribe Dinesh D’Souza has to perform a lot more community service for breaking campaign-finance laws than he thought, with a federal judge saying Monday that D’Souza has to do eight hours each week for the entire five years he’s on probation and not just the eight months he was confined to a halfway house.

The judge also read aloud a report from a court-appointed psychologist who called D’Souza “arrogant” and “intolerant of others’ feelings.”

Powerhouse defense attorney Ben Brafman was surprised when Manhattan federal court Judge Richard Berman clarified the sentence he handed down after D’Souza pleaded guilty last year, which means D’Souza will have to do over 1,600 hours more service than he initially thought.

“We’re talking about five years of eight hours a week? … This is a very serious impediment to obtaining full-time employment because you miss one day of work a week,” Brafman said in the conference inside Berman’s robing room, as D’Souza listened in silently via speakerphone.

“In my mind it was never contemplated that the eight hours only applied to the period of home confinement,” Berman said, later reading out a report from a psychologist who saw D’Souza and then ordering him to continue attending weekly sessions.

“The client tends to deny problems and isn’t very introspective,” the psychiatrist wrote. “The client tends to deny problems and is arrogant and intolerant of others’ feelings.”

D’Souza — the maker of the anti-President Obama film “2016: Obama’s America” — did hear some good news during the proceeding.

IMO, the problem here can be boiled down to one simple statement.

You only get judges that reflect the will of the leaders you elect to appoint them.

We can change the system. We just have to vote for better leaders.

I am surprised the scummy judge did not order D’Souza to be medicated as the liberal progressives prescribe.

“The judge also read aloud a report from a court-appointed psychologist who called D’Souza “arrogant” and “intolerant of others’ feelings.” “

Exactly the way it worked in the old Soviet Union. Dissidents were sent to insane asylums because only the insane would disagree with the Soviet Union’s worker’s paradise.

If the Judge gives equal results to others on probation then it is what it is.

If he is being singled out for more time compared to others before this Judge then he is a political prisoner and the Judge would need to be exposed and also dealt with for unequal justice.

“The client tends to deny problems and isn’t very introspective,” the psychiatrist wrote. “The client tends to deny problems and is arrogant and intolerant of others’ feelings.”

And yet libtards are filled with nothing more than a relentlessly destructive, all-consuming hypocritical cesspool of never-ending hostility and raging hatred of everything that is good about America.

I didn’t make the comment that you are responding to but I think the point was that SF ignores federal law.

I’d recommend that he renounce US citizenship and become a Mexican citizen and then illegally come up through the border however.

He needs to keep his mug out of the newspapers everywhere if he is to pass himself off as an illegal Mexican however.

He admitted getting friends to “contribute” to a candidate, then he reimbursed them, knowingly violating campaign laws that restrict how much an individual can give.

Given that he could have gotten real jail, he got off easy. D’souza’s work includes book writing and film production, so, while inconvenient, the sentence really does not interfere with him “holing a job”.

This judge is plain nuts.

This is what the USSR did to dissidents. This is unethical.

D’Souza’s next book “American Goulag” , based entirely on the re-education shrinks tapes.

Given that he could have gotten real jail, he got off easy.

D'Souza plead guilty; he didn't even take advantage of his right to a trial and jury of his peers. He probably thought he would be an example of a good law and order conservative admitting a mistake.

Let this be a lesson to never give liberals an inch... they will ram it a mile down your throat every time.
