good for them.

There has been parades with thousands attending and flying the flag in opposition to the people who want to change history or are ignorant over it.
3...2...1...until a US dept. of education bureaucrat calls the school district superintendent and threaten to cut back on funding.
So far, there haven’t been any complaints.
Oh,you can bet they will find someone to complain soon.
Sure hope the community stands up against it.
It’s typical Marxian behavior, works all the time.
Except when you’re wise to it.
Boy, they raise these racist kids at an early age...
Melanin superiority
I wonder how many other educational and civic organizations identify themselves as “Rebels” and have adopted that banner as their own?
There is a huge Confederate battle flag flying next to I65 near Montgomery, AL. It can’t be missed. The land is owned by the Sons of the Confederacy.
Go, Wolverines!
I am a Southern gentleman. But try reading the Texas article of secession. If you are going to defend the flag, do so with context; don't white wash history.
My high school was the Rebels, and my ‘52 Buick had a confederate flag taped to it at all times.
Love it then, love it now.
From https://www.google.com/search?q=robert+e+lee+high+school+houston+texas+Generals&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 :
The United Daughters of the Confederacy's Robert E. Lee chapter number 186 supported the school in its early years; it donated portraits of Lee, gave American Civil War-related books to the library, and gave the school a rebel flag. The school's symbol is the Lee family coat of arms
However, the liberals in Houston will not be dragging down the flag and stamping out Robert E. lee's name as it has already been done. Around 2000 the school stopped using the "Robert E." part of the same, and its logo became that of a four-point, star-bodied person. Steve Amstutz, the principal, said around that year "People think we stole it from Cingular."
The Lee Generals are no more—
Again, from https://www.google.com/search?q=robert+e+lee+high+school+houston+texas+Generals&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 :
...the demographic of Lee's student body shifted. As of 2008, it was made up predominantly of Hispanic immigrants and sons and daughters of Hispanic immigrants. Lee's multi-ethnic population changes parallel Houston's immigration waves, beginning with the Vietnamese families in the early 1980s. With the change in apartment housing rules in the 1980s, both the community and the school population changed. The demographic of Lee's student body shifted significantly in the 1990s, as student's from the south zone (Gulfton area) who are a majority Mexican and Central American immigrants and/or sons and daughters of Hispanic immigrants became the overwhelming majority of the student body.
I guess the Liberals can now add filling the schools of those old White racists to the tasks of the illegal aliens--
Oops! Make that "...the tasks of the undocumented Democratic Voters."
This is good to see and illustrates why those who see the battle flag as something hateful are so wrong to insist anything about it and the Confederacy is bad in some way. It isn’t.
Look at Japan and Germany. We were at war with them more recently than the civil war and now we are good friends; nationally speaking.
The people who see this battle flag as a racist and hateful symbol need to be re-educated and accept that it doesn’t mean that to those who look upon it with pride.
Unfortunately the exact opposite is happening and as usual the whiners get their politically correct way even though it is 100% wrong. Disgusting.
These children show more guts than the so-called leadership in Washington DC.
It is called the rebel flag for a reason. Not the hate flag. Not the slavery flag. The rebel flag. It codifies the rebellion of people fighting for their rights against an oppressive government.
Gee, when have I heard that before? Oh yeah, around 1776.
Now there's a novel idea. </sarcasm>
