Donald Trump: Plant? Foil? Something’s not right
Washington Times ^ | 7/12/15 | Joseph Curl

Posted on 07/12/2015 2:35:04 PM PDT by jimbo123

What’s the deal with Donald Trump?

He can’t possibly think he has a chance against a dozen highly qualified candidates, all but one of whom have held elective office, from governor to senator, for years. He must know that after a tiny pop in the polls over the silly summer season (remember Howard Dean?), he’ll tumble back down to earth and disappear.

True, Mr. Trump couldn’t care less how embarrassing he is — to the Republican Party, sure, but also to himself. He’s an egotistical narcissist just blowing some of his $7 billion while in between tapings of his god-awful show “The Apprentice.” Might as well run for president.

But something else seems afoot. Mr. Trump is starting to look like a Democratic plant — and some top Republicans are starting to say so.

Just another snotty meaningless, issue deprived Liberal tantrum.
Trump talks about how illegal aliens murdered Americans, how our government sends good jobs overseas.
Trump resonates with the American peoples concerns.

“Et tu, Washington Times?”

That’s exactly right! Either the WT has changed, or I’ve had them wrong all along.

I didn’t read the whole thing, but what I did read was uncalled for.

That author does not seem very well educated or his arguments appear very sound to me but what I am coming to realize is that the sum total of all of these criticisms, intellectual and populist are being used to try to sway the electorate. The only problem I think with this tried and true method, is that we the people are so fed up, so angry, with the betrayal by our “betters” in Washington that all of this is falling on increasingly deaf ears. I certainly have some issues with Donald Trump but I can’t help wonder if in fact he is not the right man at this time. Indeed, the fact that this very very unique successful businessman/executive has never held elective office is very very appealing. It is high time to rid Washington DC of career politicians and put people in power who have succeeded in the private sector, people like Donald Trump, if not Donald Trump.

Kind of hard to ignore that only Trump and Cruz are there to fill the truth vacuum in the GOP.

Cruz/Trump 2016?
++++
If Trump drops out I think Cruz will be the major beneficiary. But while he is viable I think he hurts Cruz enough to put him at risk for making the Top Ten.

Could that be the Trump Secret Mission? I hope not.

I would like to add that personally I think the top Republican leaders are Democrat plants.

Trump & Jeb are working together to squeeze conservatives out

So please tell us the master game plan.

Is it for Trump to drop out of the race at the last minute and then all his supporters turn to...Jeb Bush?

The same Jeb Bush that Trump was mercilessly attacking in his appearances yesterday?

How many people constantly complain about the perfectly coiffed, spineless, blow-dried, smooth and smarmy professional politician?

Most all.

That said, Trump is no professional politician and says what he thinks, stands up to the blow-back and carries on. He fights back rather than retreats like professional politicians do.

Trump is not playing by MSM or established politicians rules. He is writing his own rules and that is worth something. . .and refreshing (giving the MSM and established politicos vapors is GREAT).

Trump hasn’t really gotten started kicking butts and taking names yet.

I loved the very final closing line from the video of Trump’s Saturday Las Vegas speech. He scanned the crowd for a friend who he said is the most tenacious negotiator on the planet. Trump said the guy bought a hotel/casino in Vegas for $1 Million, and sold it for $1.3 Billion.

This is going to become extremely entertaining AND satisfying.

Somethings not right...or...something is very right.

Trump, like a surfer, caught the 2016 election wave. He saw it, he paddled hard...and now he is riding it.

He may fall or he may not. But that aside, he has caught the wave and, in doing so, he has identified the wave for all other candidates.

There is a huge segment of America that is fed up. Trump was listening...and they spoke to him.

Cruz is now listening carefully.

If Trump flames out, Cruz will draw this crowd back into the corral (pardon the mixed metaphors;-).

I prefer Cruz...but Trump will do.

All these other Republicans complaining about Trump can hand in their GOP membership cards...they're toast.

“Kind of hard to ignore that only Trump and Cruz are there to fill the truth vacuum in the GOP.
Cruz/Trump 2016?”

I could see that kind of ticket. Trump could be Cruz’s attack dog for trade, diplomacy, the military, and other departments where competence and strength that we are sorely lacking in.

My response:

GROW

UP.

Professional politicians suck. Everyone knows that and every once in a while we have to remind them of it.

Don’t ask for an explanation from this poster. Whatever pops into his/her head gets posted as if it’s fact. Time and time again.
