He has already said he doesn't want to run as a third-party candidate, so that the Perot phenomenon would not be repeated. He is looking for the Republican nomination.
He may prove greatly popular with rank and file Republicans enough to secure the nom, unless he miscaluculates the degree of finagling and corruption that has been allowed to flourish in the voting system. He may not have much control over that.
He may be setting the stage for the rise of a “real leader.” A clear eyed hard man willing to galvanize the people against the invading Third World.”
In view that it was the Democrats who rediscovered the flag and began using it in the 1950s to resist ending segregation, and then things got really ugly, why should decent Southerners worry about that?
Why should any legal hispanic immigrants or native-born hispanics like many in the southwest who have been here since colonial times want to be lumped in with the criminal illegal class by ignorant east-coast white journalists?
I have to agree, even though the idea of 3 marriages is distasteful. His kids are all interesting and contributing people not a Billy Carter, Hugh Rodham or Neil Bush in the bunch. Among the populace, more than one marriage is just not that unusual any more, however sad that may be. It certainly beats single parenthood with feral children.
Yeah I heard that and I pray it is true
Kaslin and I have been here a long time and we have seen too many trouble makers sign up and begin insulting us. That is the definition of troll and you fit perfectly!
Keep it up and you will get the zot!
And Reagan was "nothing more than" an actor?
Trump has extremely valuable skills that we desperately need right now. At this stage, there is no use in putting down one potential R candidate because you favor another. Make your case on facts, not slurs. Trump understands the world economy I daresay a great deal more than Cruz would have had the time to learn. He has 40 years' experience making deals and negotiating, and one of his primary messages is about rebuilding our economy, and how the leaks in the bucket from illegality of all sorts would prevent us ever having enough stability to regain our nation. He is far from insubstantial. I very much hope he stays in the race and brings more ideas to the table.
For a newbie, you’re pretty loose with the insults. Chill, Molly, and get to know a few people around here before slinging accusations. Kaslin is a stand-up freeper of long standing. You, we know little about yet. You’re not helping yourself with your attitude here.
Deborah’s been around for awhile, a center-right columnist from the Bay Area.
Sorry, “Debra” (spelling)...
Thank you very much. I sure appreciate your support
My “attitude” is to defend myself. KASLIN called me a Troll. Since when am I not allowed my opinion? Is that what this site is all about?
Well, I guess we should discount everything else Trump is saying because we disagree with him on that point.
Who cares about innocent American Citizens being Slaughtered by People who should have never been here in the first place, right? Did anyone get any traction mentioning this before Trump showed up?
Trump agrees with 90% of the current Republican Field in his thoughts on the Battle Flag of the Northern Virginia Confederate Democrats.
Let’s try this. I consider myself a Conservative. I agree with Republican Senator Ted Cruz that the issue of Gay Marriage is and has always been a States Rights issue.
In some minds, that means Ted Cruz supports Gay Marriage. He never said whether he personally Supported it or not as
it is not relevant to the argument.
Does that mean that Ted Cruz has just disqualified himself from the Republican Nomination for POTUS?
If the People of a particular State want Gay Marriage, want no restrictions on Incestuous Marriage (as some States do today) and even want to approve Polygamy, it is their Perrogative to do so.
Ted knows this to be true, but it flies right into the Face of those who only support Traditional Marriage. I guess that should disqualify him for consideration was well.
We must remain consistent, right?
The recent Ruling of the SCOTUS is an issue NOT because it Federalized Gay Marriage, it is an issue because the SCOTUS had to eviscerate the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution to make it happen. Everyone loses sight of that, even here.
Didn’t mean to rant, but even Ivory Soap isn’t 100% Pure.
Cruz / Trump 2016. That might actually work, you never know.
Mind your manners. Please.
I would suggest you go back to see where the “attitude” started on this thread. Kaslin made a snarky remark about Patton. Of course she’s not the first nor will she be the last.
Agree straight down the line. Too many cannot read with comprehension. States Rights were eviscerated many long years ago!
