This is true only if you don't really care or are too lazy to save your Nation.

All conservatives have to do is to "activate". Sites like FR could be instrumental in the restoration of Constitutional principles. This non-exhaustive list of actions MUST be coordinated and executed by conservatives without reliance on Congresscritters:

1. Monitor the voting habits of elected officials. Instigate and hold recall elections for any representative that fails to carry out the wishes of the constituents.
2. Coordinate the “wish list” for representatives so that they are not pulled in multiple directions.
3. Monitor corporate as well as community leaders. Mount letter writing campaigns to protect actions that are not consistent with the rule of law or the Constitution.
4. Flood newspapers and magazines with letters that support Principles and protest deviations from the same.
5. Spill into the streets banging pots and pans whenever communications with government officials go unheeded.
6. Go to town hall and school meetings and voice your opinions. Call those leaders to task.
7. Organize legal and monetary defense of conservatives who have been dragged into court over their stand for Principle.
8. Convene conventions in order to lay plans, unify purpose, and codify activities.

These things, and more, can be accomplished without any hand-holding by government officials, elected or appointed. Your opposition did all of this and more in order to accomplish their objectives. Conservative Principles are going to die out unless they are given everyone’s stalwart attention.

Work together or hang together.

Cruz and Trump are not keeping quiet. Neither should we.

I signed up on Trump's campaign site, and marked myself as a physical volunteer.

People MUST get more active than even that. FR should become a physical entity that holds local action meetings and then makes a presence wherever protests are appropriate. I presume the Tea Party died out due to lack of interest or conservatives couldn't take a micro-gram of bad press.

1961 was the centennial of the Civil War and the Confederate flags were raised during the national commemoration of the war. Not everything that happened in the 1960s revolved around racism and civil rights protests.

Sadly, you are all saying basically the same thing: don't trust the Carpetbaggers and Scalawags. Sadly, it seems like the South has been through these trials during Reconstruction (I hated reading about Reconstruction in American history). BTW, Nathan Bedford Forrest was the leader of the KKK, whose main purpose was to combat the atrocities perpetrated on the South after the War. Ironic that the Scalawags will get the last say after all.
