Washington Post ^ | July 9. 2015 | Robert Costa and Philip Rucker

Pressed about whether he would back the Republican ticket if he fails to win the nomination himself, Trump left the door open for a third-party bid of his own. “I would have to see who the nominee is,” he said.

We have GOT to give up the “lesser of two evils” approach

I agree with at least 99 percent of what trumps. said...I simply do not trust him bases on how I read his PERSONALITY

there are plenty of people who espouse wonderful ideas..that I wouldnt want to be President.

Donald Trump is the most well known of that group

I dont like him for the very reasons I like Cruz.

Sure Illegals are criminals.

does it take a GENIUS to get or SAY that?

there are ISSUES..... behind donalds show biz approach. I can smell em

Actually, I think the GOP has considered that. I think this is the problem. Trump will blow up the whole game. He has honest, knowledgeable accountants, and his administration will shine the light of day on a lot of very bad practices. From both parties. The GOP doesn’t want that. They know he has cross-over appeal, and they want to stop him as early as possible.

Reading is fundamental. It says “back” and not “run against.”

Commonsense is fundamental.

The question was asked in the context of running on an independent ticket.

Give it a rest, you are trying to pretend that the guy who was an Al Gore/Barack Obama democrat until 2009, whose favorite president is Bill Clinton, is too conservative to back republicans.

Cruz is a republican, and he would never run with a pro-abortion candidate.

I had a sense that this would be coming along,....

Hasn’t that idea been expressed at times here on FR? Is there something wrong
with that or should whom ever gets the nominee automatically gets all backing?

Are you retarded?

Myth Romney sent money to PP and forced faggot marriage in MA, not to mention ROMNEYCARE.

He somehow managed to buy the GOP nomination in 2012 though.

Cruz is TOP of the ticket son.

I know that you are uninterested in facts, but other readers are searching for facts.

Facts like after the 2000 election with Al Gore, your Trump switched to Al Gore’s party in 2001, and stayed in there as an Obama supporter until 2009.

Now you want to pretend that Trump is too conservative to support the GOP if he doesn’t win the nomination.

“Donald Trump recalls with chagrin that he supported Barack Obama for president in 2008, but says he now realizes that those moving hope-and-change speeches were nothing more than rhetoric.

Donald Trump, Obama, Hannity”I was his biggest cheerleader,” the multibillionaire businessman told Sean Hannity on his Fox TV show Tuesday night. “If you go back three years, I’m saying, ‘Do a great job.’ I wanted him to do a great job. I still want him to do a great job.”

Your post didn’t make sense.

Cruz would not run on a presidential ticket with a pro-abortion Trump on it.

Son.

Are you also going to pretend that Trump is too conservative to support the republican party?

Donald Trump became a democrat after the 2000 election, the Democrat party of 2001 through 2009, which consisted of Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary, Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, and Harry Reid.

Considering how the party is treating Trump, I can’t say I really blame him if he bolts after all this.

The party needs to SHUT THE HELL UP and let the process take place. If Trump is as big a loser as ROVE insists, he will never make to November, at least as a Republican.

...of course the problem that Rove, and the ROVE-LOVERS on this site have, is that Trump may well be the Republican nominee.

Ansell, you keep putting words in people's mouths.

People here are simply noting that mindlessly backing any and all Republicans simply because they have an (R) after their name is a fool's game.

And you consistently jump to the conclusion: "Are you also going to pretend that Trump is too conservative to support the republican party?"

No one is saying that. No one is saying anything like that.

So why don't you give it a rest?

Here’s the article I was talking about. He absolutely hated George HW Bush and when you read this article, you’ll understand the reason.
