Kids Locked Up For Refusing To Have Lunch With Dad; Judge Compares Siblings To Charles Manson Cult

PONTIAC (WWJ) – An Oakland County judge has sent three children to a juvenile detention facility for failing to have a relationship with their father, saying it’s one of the worst cases of parental alienation she’s ever seen — even comparing the children to the Charles Manson cult.

Circuit Judge Lisa Gorcyca declared the children — ages 9, 10 and 15 — in civil contempt of court during a hearing on June 24. The children were taken into custody and hauled off to Children’s Village after declining to have lunch with their father.

“It’s a very troubling case, no doubt,” said WWJ Legal Analyst Charlie Langton. “But you have to go way back to get the whole story. This is not just a lunch with dad. This goes back well more than that.”

No I was actually looking at the map and reacting to it not to the story. That there were other crummy places in Michigan.

I think the current story is about a family from Farmington Hills, which as far as I know is still quite a good area.

So far the kids arent budging and it’s been weeks they have been detained....

so what if the kids decide to never speak to their father againb?

Will they be held until they are 18 with no contact with thier mother what so ever?

Just how long to you think it’s ok to hold a 9 yr old in contempt of court?

9 years?

How messed up must the mother be to brainwash her kids into that kind of irrational hatred of their father.

The mother kidnapped her own children when both parents and the children lived in Israel. The father found them living back in Michigan, and moved back to Michigan to be with them.

He paid child support before any settlement. He has had supervised visits with them, some of which the mother failed to bring them too. The mother has been warned several times that she has to comply with the orders of the court in terms of visitations.

This mom has poisoned her own children against their own father. It’s been two weeks without her venom, but they are still bitter. It won’t take 9 years to purge from their system.

Read the transcript. No one in that room wanted the children to go to CV—even the mother (overheard by the judge) asked the children to go to lunch with their father. The father has always asked the judge not to take this step.

All that the children had to do was to have lunch with their father in the courthouse cafeteria and behave like decent human beings to him. Each of the children refused independently. The judge made her comments about CV in an attempt to let them know what they were choosing when they decided against going downstairs and acting like decent human beings sith their father for an hour.

The children can get out any time by resuming a relationship with their father.

It seems like the judge has tried everything for quite some time to get the children to see their father, and everything has failed.

You know I’ve seen this meme repeated several times...their minds were poisoned etc....and what evidence do you have of that?

The word of the father...who already tried to get a court to send his kids back to israel?

His well paid lawyers?

The Judge?

How does a judge have the power to decree that you must love your father?...or even speak to him?..or say sorry for ANYTHING.

The father is obviously willing to see his kids detained in custody rather than be with their mother.

The judge is clearly willing to have them detained for disrespecting her authority.

And the kids appear willing to stick to their guns and not see or speak to their father.

So now what?

Should they all be held until age 18?

As a divorced father of three... who went through a messy divorce....he wins the asshole of the year award.

If my kids didnt want to see me, I’d respect their wishes and let them be...not run to family court and make a stink like this.

YOU WILL OBEY OR BE LOCKED UP!

And if the kids refuse to obey the judge?

Are you ok with a 9 yr old being taken from her mother and locked up for 9 years for refusing to talk to her father?

As noted in the transcript...the mother DID talk to the kids and ask them to have lunch with thier father....the KIDS refused.

So lock em up?

You might want to actually read... The father asked the judge to NOT send them to CV. The mother asked the kids to not make that choice. Each child, independently, told the judge that they WANTED to go to CV rather than have lunch with Dad. Your assumptions are way off.

So lock em up?

It's not jail, it's state custody... and it's what THEY chose. You want a judge to force them to go somewhere else, but not force them into state custody? Which forced choice do you approve of, oh Great Solomon?

You left out the part where the father tried to get a court to send his kids back to isreal against their will even though they were born and raised here.

He didnt move back until he lost his case to have them sent back.

The mother has never been charged with “kidnapping” and in fact a court sided with her on the issue already in ruling against the father on the matter.

The father is already re-married with a two year old.....he he obviously didnt wait to long to set up shop with a new family.

You think the kids might be resentful?...I know mine would have been.

The term brainwashed keeps being tossed around yet no evidence has been presented of any such thing....the kids have been in therapy and counciling...what is the opinion of those councilers?...not known.

It’s he said /she said and the kids are saying they dont want to see him.

Who knows what kinds of fights those kids have witnessed over the years.

“It’s been two weeks without her venom, but they are still bitter. It won’t take 9 years to purge from their system.”

And if the kids decide to never speak to their father again?

What then?

Maybe a beating or two would speed things up.

Sheesh.

It’s a godamn detention facilty that you cannot leave....not summer camp.

The kids are undergoing court ordered pshyco therapy.

And where is it that you think I wanted the kids to be forced to?

They should be with whom they WANT TO BE WITH.

The whole thing is a result of the father being in court to get his visitation rights enforced.

While he knows full well his kids dont want to see them.....so he blames the mother and is fine using the court as a weapon even if it means his kids are detained.

I guarantee this is a play for full custody of the kids.

It hasnt seemed to dawn on anyone that the father might very well be a douchebag worthy of his childrens scorn.

Regardless....the courts actions in this matter are very troubling...a ruling laced with insults against the same children?..the mother? the manson family???

Threatening a 9yr old with “jail” in a “cell” where you “have to go to the bathroom in front of other people” “until you are a teenager”...and those are direct quotes.

If the judge had legal recourse against the mother...she would have used it....but she didnt...she instead chose to charge the children with contempt of court.

And I dont think it’s going to stand legal review.

I havent assumed anything....but many others are....like assuming the mother has brainwashed her children.

Kids arent stupid....there is something seriously going on if they would rather be detained without internet and smart phones rather than spend time with their dad.

As far as I know...it isnt illegal to hate someone...even a family member.

So how does a court force a loving relationship on someone if they refuse to go along?

Exactly how long are you comfortable seeing these kids detained if they refuse to comply?

Months?

Years?

Until they are 18?

Yes, I am ok with that, because the alternative is that everyone has to obey the law except people we feel sorry for.

Remember, the children can get out whenever they want: as soon as the father tells the judge that the children have complied, she will release them. This is not a sentence she has imposed where the children *must* stay there—it is a choice on the part of the children.

What law in the Michigan state code requires you to speak to your father?

I must have missed that one.

Tell me what crime the children have committed that legally justifies their loss of liberty?

This is a ruling from a judge and rulings can be reversed.

I think this is far from over yet.

The fact that you are ok with detaining a 9yr old till the age of 18 if she doesnt submit is frankly quite chilling.

The law that says people have to obey court orders.

It is unfortunate that the mother has so twisted her children’s minds or has allowed them to become so defiant that the situation has deteriorated to this point.

It is unfortunate that mothers have been allowed to get away with disobeying court orders for denying visitation to fathers.

All too often children learn that if they just hold out, they will get their way. Mom won’t buy them a candy at the store? Throw a tantrum til she gives in... because people say exactly what you are saying: why are you torturing the kid? Give him a candy so he’ll stop screaming! Etc. What sort of people do these children grow up to be?

And so, here we are. From reading the transcript, it seems that this has been a long on-going situation which we are seeing the end of.

All that the children had to do was to go to lunch and behave like human beings towards their father for one hour. The children made their decisions. So be it.

"The law that says people have to obey court orders."

Ok...so you admit the children havent been charged with any crimes then?

This is about the CHILDREN refusing the order of the court to "be nice to daddy or else" and none of the court action is directed at the Mother other than to deny visitation or contact.

"It is unfortunate that the mother has so twisted her children’s minds or has allowed them to become so defiant that the situation has deteriorated to this point.

And how exactly do you know that? based on the word of one party in court and an obviously biased judge?

From what I have read from people who know the mother and children there are no stories of brainwashing or manipluation being offered....just a normal mom and kids....all the horror stories are coming from the father.

And do you have kids?

I do...some in their 20's one as young as 13...they have a mind of their own you know.....there was time period during my divorce where my youngest daughter wanted nothing to do with her mother and her boyfriend she made her wishes known...her wishes were honored and she lived with me for about a year... and barely talked to her mom and would only go somewhere with her without her boyfriend around.

After the boyfriend thing played out and they broke up...she made up with her mom and now she lives with her mom....no big damn deal...I miss her but she comes over any time she wants for as long as she wants...and I'm am glad my ex is pulling her head out of her ass at least as far as repairing her relationship with the kids.....they all hated her guts for quite a while and wouldnt even speak to her after I found out she was having an affair.

It is unfortunate that mothers have been allowed to get away with disobeying court orders for denying visitation to fathers.

See what you did there?....you totally went into generalization...you over layed a template of presupposition upon this specific case and assume that is what's going on.

And I have yet to see a court record listing the violations...will read them if they surface

Non sequiter....what about these children.

And so, here we are. From reading the transcript, it seems that this has been a long on-going situation which we are seeing the end of..

Yep and ifor one would like to see the rest of the court records to get a better sence of the history of these court appearences.

All that the children had to do was to go to lunch and behave like human beings towards their father for one hour. The children made their decisions. So be it.

Throw away the key....they need to be taught a lesson....little ingrates. /sarc

Here is a link to an article which includes 2 complete requests to the court which include references to the counselor’s and psychologist’s finding that the mother is engaged in alienating the children from their father and various other “difficulties” the mother has caused, and one finding or result.

http://everything-pr.com/omer-tsimhoni-maya-eibschitz-legal-case/258402/

If a court orders someone to do something, and they refuse to do it, then they are in violation of a court order and can be jailed or fined. This is a really normal part of the US legal system.

Now, you have apparently heard the mother’s side from people who know the mother. I have heard tales of divorces from both sides, and one would never dream that the two were divorcing each other, the stories were so different.

In reading the court transcript of the proceeding which resulted in the children’s being taken to CV, the judge also mentions having heard the mother previously speaking to the children in an alienating way about their father.

WRT my general statements, they were general statements. However, in the interview with the father and in the link above, it would seem that this particular mother had also been uncooperative wrt the father’s rights.

I do have children, about the same ages as yours, oddly enough, and yes, they probably would be upset with the parent who broke up the family. In this case, it was the mother’s decision to break up the family...

Of course, neither my children nor yours have any more to do with this situation than do the generalized children I brought up (which I did more as a comment on your attitude than on the case we are discussing).

You apparently did not engage in a pattern of vilifying your wife to your children, as everyone actually involved in the case with full access to court and psychological records seems to agree this mother was doing. The children’s lawyers, the GAL, etc, did not protest the removal of the children from under the mother’s influence.

The fact that people you know who know the mother and children say they are seemed normal.... how many times have people who have known people involved in a serious problem say, “They always seemed nice and normal!”

Wow that is a nice long list of accusations from a high priced lawfirm there but worth the read.

So the current court motions where started by the father because his children wouldnt speak to him during visitations....and was also a filing for request for expanded visitation.

Confirmed.

Thanks.

I guess I just dont get it....if I had remarried , had a two year old, and my kids and ex wife didnt want to see or speak to me I would take the hint.

I wouldnt try and legally power trip my way back into their lives....or be willing to see them in state custody until they turn 18.

SMH

This just all seems so bizzare....if the mother was in contempt why not jail her instead?

Why all this assumtion that the kids are programed little robots?

Where they not offered a choice?

Go to lunch with your dad, talk to your dad, and apologise or go to Childrens village?

Regardless of what started it, the kids are willing to go to children village rather than speak to their father...even after weeks of being there...

Now I cant think of any programing, amount of smack talk against their mom,, lies, flat out bribes or even threats could ever get my preteen daughter to willingly give up her friends, smart phone , x-box, cat ,and internet social circle and go sit in state custody with the possibilty of being there till shes 18 just to make daddy happy becuase I hate mommy.

She would throw me under the bus...LOL.

I keep wondering if there isnt something else going on we dont know yet or something happend we dont have the full back story on.

The son claims he saw his dad hit his mom....have you considered that he might be telling the truth?

have the kids witnessed fights and behavior from their father that make them fearful or hateful of him?

I’m sorry but psycho mom doesnt explain everything here.

If the actions of the children were based soley on their mother’s influence, why have they not complied with the court now that their mother has no contact with them for weeks?

What happens if they never change their minds?
