IT’S COME TO THIS: Rick Perry responds DIRECTLY to Donald Trump in new video
The Right Scoop ^ | July 8, 2015 | Right Scoop

Posted on 07/09/2015 12:19:09 AM PDT by Mozilla

Rick Perry told Hannity last night that Donald Trump painted with a broad brush and basically said ALL MEXICANS were rapists and killers, which is patently false. Hannity challenged him on that mischaracterization but Perry gave a non-answer, refusing to acknowledge that Trump was only referring to ‘some’ illegals.

I’ve liked Rick Perry for a long time and believe he did a lot of good things for Texas, things that would be good for the country. But I am now seeing a side of him I do not like. It’s one thing to disagree with his comments in an honest way, but it’s another thing to completely mischaracterize them in order to bolster your own position. That’s something Democrats do all the time. I don’t like it then and I don’t like it now.

I’ve liked Rick Perry for a long time ...

Anyone who liked Rick Perry "for a long time" has exactly zero credibility.

The author runs a good blog. He once liked Governor Rick Perry when he was running Texas, but now he sees his true colors. Nothing wrong with that. We are all seeing the GOP’s true colors now.

I watched all of the video I could stand. It's nice that Perry says that he cares about border security. It's not nice that, unlike Donald Trump, Perry cannot distinguish legal immigrants from illegal immigrants.

Perry, you idiot, for Trump to criticize Mexican CRIMINALS who are here ILLEGALLY is not a criticism of law abiding legal Mexican immigrants who are now U.S. citizens.

More importantly they outed Trey Gomez of South Carolina who is more significant troublemaker than Perry.

For some people especially so called Establishment Republicans, Donald Trump may be a little too outspoken, but lets face it he doesn’t mind calling a spade a spade and calls it how he sees it, avoiding all that political gobbledygook and double talk, something a good portion of the public including myself is sick and tired of hearing, and he goes where so called republicans avoid going at all costs. He doesn’t even retract when some businesses cancelled contracts with him just so they could appear to be political correct. As he stated in so many words “I am more concerned about America instead of some lousy business contracts” That’s more than we get to hear from most so called republicans.

Most of the time Liberals-Democrats-Progressives or what ever name sounds most appealing at the time, come up with some hare brain ideas and proposals and what do republicans do, invariably reaching across the isle compromising and meeting them halfway. A lot of people are sick and tired including myself of a party which never stands their ground and insists what is right is right, another reason why this country has been going down the tube and will continue to do so unless some drastic changes are implemented.

Take for example a couple of the Ten Commandment. You shall not kill or You shall not steal. Leave it up to some democrats they are probably ready to negotiate about either one. Perhaps just kill some one halfway, or steal a little and along come some self important RINOS ready to compromise reinforcing what is wrong and here we go again.

There are still a lot of people out there aside from some true conservatives who may claim to be democrats, but deep down they are conservative and can tell right from wrong and they are yearning for someone to come along and get this point across and not just try to be everything to every Tom, Dick and Harry just to garner their vote, probably the reason Perry was fudging his answer, what is right in line of a typical politician. And then republicans wonder why thy lose. A lot of conservatives have come to the conclusion what’s the use and why vote at all, as any more you can hardly tell the difference between a republican and a democrat. If you want people to give you their vote, it shouldn’t be just because they despise some one, but you have to offer them a better alternative to vote for.

You have to remember that regardless as to how good a Governor Perry has been HE IS STILL A POLITICIAN. Trump is not.

Politicians of any stripe always test the political wind before voicing any opinion. Trump could care less and tells it the way it is.

I like Perry but distrust him simply because his career is as a politician and he didn’t get there by voicing his true beliefs.

It was private citizens who gave us our Constitution and it’s the politicians who have almost completely destroyed it simply out of self-serving greed for both money and power...and they will do and say anything to keep in power.

Perry has always been on the amnesty train. He’ll occasionally get off in a limited way when actually running for office, because he needs to pretend to be “conservative”, but he always reverts to form.

Perry always was an imbecile, and all the “studying up” he’s reportedly done since his disastrous 2012 won’t change that. Look at how Greg Abbott is running circles around Perry in just his first few months on the job. What the hell did Perry do for 14 years except be a fill-in after Bush? He didn’t do squat to advance gun rights, but he did extend in-state tuition to illegal invaders. Anyone who support this chimp needs to have their head checked.
