Linky only.
Let me guess: Solandra is going to be the sole supplier. Err. Wait a minute...
This is communism. Why do I have to pay for people who don’t work and they get everything they need. Karl Marxism. When are we going to throw the parasites off? I propose that if you get free stuff you do community service 8 to 5!!
The Obama administration hopes to make solar power more affordable for low- and middle-income Americans. It’s announcing a series of moves, including installing more solar energy units in federally subsidized housing, low cost loans for homeowners and a program to help renters.
The White House recently pledged that the U.S. would get 20 percent of its total electricity from renewable sources by 2030, about three times what it does now. The Washington Post reports the administration is concerned about what might be called energy inequality:
” ‘It’s very important not only that we achieve that goal, but how we get there as well,’ noted Obama senior adviser Brian Deese on a media call. ‘We know there are significant challenges in the scope and geographic reach of solar.’ “More and more voices of late are airing concerns about equal access to solar energy. ‘The rapid decline of solar panel costs in recent years has ushered in a solar boom that has not spread uniformly across the spectrum of U.S. household incomes,’ notes a recent paper from the George Washington University Solar Institute. ‘Despite being more vulnerable to energy costs, lower income Americans have lagged behind more affluent households in adopting solar and realizing its numerous benefits.’ “

The sad thing is that the low-info voter has no idea what Solyndra was or how much it cost.
“Winterization” scams taken to the next level.
We must all sacrifice for the good of the many.
Welcome to Free Republic, WENDLE.
Just like the welfare crowd, these “obamapanels” will just lay around, produce nothing useful, take up valuable space, and be a net drag on society as a whole. Sum it up?
Is this something like what I did as a child when I used a magnifying glass to burn ants? They put the solar panels on top of the huts to set them on fire?
There are no low income homes. Low income people.
When you add up all the subsidies given to the “poor” they are no longer poor.
Idiots would drill the well and then piss in it.
If there’s any copper in those panels, they’ll be destroyed and scavenged. But hey, the stupid taxpayer will provide another, then rinse and repeat.
I simply can’t take anymore. I am almost to the point where I really don’t want to know anything anymore. The ‘poor’ in this country have it better than the working people.....without having to do a thing. Welfare, section 8, food stamps and wic, and now free solar so they don’t have to pay the electric bill either.
In the summer our electric bill is $600-650 with the thermostat set on 79. I’ve looked at solar and it just isn’t doable for us yet. But my ‘poor’ neighbors will have it!
The latest meme is “Energy Inequality”...
How selfish of us to take the energy from those undeserving types.
Since energy is a zero-sum game...
No doubt he is preparing to implement a huge tax on electrical energy, I think he did say this would be coming.
As in every other thing the king does there is no one who will stop him.
We the people could stop him but like those elected to reign in a dictatorial government we will just make some noise, shake some fists and sit watch him rule and reign over us.
That and when you can just print the chit up willy nilly
Thanks for the spell check on Solyndra. And yea, it is sad.
Or busted by a basketball.
Motivational encouragement to REPUBLICANS..
