Video: White House Blames Republicans for Immigration Failure that Led to Murder of SF Woman
Pajamas Media ^ | 07/07/2015 | Debra Heine

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest suggested Republicans are to blame for the heinous murder of a woman in San Francisco last week. Francisco Sanchez, an illegal immigrant who has been deported five times, was charged with the random shooting of Kathryn Steinle.

Confronted with this heart-rending immigration-policy failure, Earnest attempted to shift blame onto Republicans, insisting that because of their opposition to comprehensive immigration reform, the administration has not been able to increase funding for border security.

“I can say as a general matter, that as a part of the executive actions that the president announced back in November of last year, one of the chief goals that we are seeking to accomplish, was ensuring that we were focusing our law enforcement efforts on those individuals who pose a genuine threat,” Earnest began.

“Too often we see those limited law enforcement resources to be focused on breaking up families. The president doesn’t think that’s consistent with our values as a country. It’s also not consistent with the priority the president places on protecting the public (!) and protecting the American people (!!).”

He continued, “I would say, and it bears repeating in this case, that these efforts would be significantly augmented had Republicans not blocked comprehensive immigration reform. You’ll recall that the piece of legislation that was blocked by Republicans in the House of Representatives actually included the biggest ever increase in border security. ”

The reporter pressed the issue, saying that administration critics claim that the administration’s immigration policy is not working because repeat criminals keep coming across the border.

But the White House refused to take any responsibility for their immigration failures. “I recognize that people want to play politics on this,” Earnest intoned. “But the fact is that the president has done everything within his power to make sure that we are focusing our law enforcement resources on criminals and those who pose a threat to public safety (!!!) and it’s because of the political efforts of Republicans that we have not been able to make the kind of investment that we’d like to make in securing our border and keeping our community safe.”

Because he has taken drastic measures to loosen the nation’s immigration laws, deportations have plummeted under President Barack Obama’s watch. In addition to his 2012 executive order that suspended deportation of younger illegal aliens, the Obama administration has shut down numerous Border Patrol stations, ended a crucial ICE program that allowed local law enforcement agencies to enforce federal immigration law and instructed Border Patrol agents not to make arrests.

(!) In 2013, the Obama administration released 36,007 convicted criminal aliens from detention who were awaiting the outcome of deportation proceedings, according to a document obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies.

This group included aliens convicted of hundreds of violent and serious crimes, including homicide, sexual assault, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. The list of crimes also includes more than 16,000 drunk or drugged driving convictions. The vast majority of these releases from ICE custody were discretionary, not required by law (in fact, in some instances, apparently contrary to law), nor the result of local sanctuary policies.

(!!) In 2014, they released 30,000+ more of the same type of criminal alien onto American streets.

Overall, ICE released 30,558 criminal aliens in fiscal year 2014, which is down from the 36,007 criminals released a year before.

ICE didn’t release a breakdown of criminal offenses of the new 30,000 on Wednesday, but among the 36,000 released in 2013 were 193 homicide convictions, 426 sexual assault convictions, 303 kidnapping convictions and 16,070 convictions for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

***

Last month, the Oversight Committee invited family members of those killed by criminal aliens to testify. A man named Michael Ronnebeck testified about the murder of his nephew Grant Ronnebeck, who was working as a Quik Trip clerk when an illegal alien shot him in the face and stole cigarettes from the store. Another man, Jamiel Shaw, testified about the murder of his son Andre Shaw by an illegal alien who had taken advantage of President Obama’s Dreamer program.

(!!!) Last month, the Washington Times reported that 121 murders have been attributed to illegals set free by the Obama administration.

More than 100 immigrants whom the Obama administration released back into the community went on to be charged with subsequent killings, according to government data released Monday that raises more questions about whether immigration authorities are doing enough to detail illegal immigrants awaiting deportation.

Since that report was posted, there have been at least two more murders: the aforementioned woman in San Francisco, and a woman in Laredo, Texas, who was beaten to death with a hammer by her illegal immigrant husband.

Sure, if the pubbies would just roll over for amnesty, the border/immigration problem would go away.

It’s always about the amnesty.

I wouldn't do that if I were you.

Of Course, people have to been conditioned to accept re-written history.

For Example, Say David Beinoff or D.B. Weiss would have produced The HBO Mini-Series John Adams, in order for us to Root for Alexander Hamilton they would have had say, Thomas Jefferson Burn his Daughter at the Stake, the reasoning being she was destined to die anyway, so we need to see him do something bad so don't like him. Thereby Justifying any Bad things that happens to him from there on out.

But maybe I am being unfair, where would that ever happen?

Remember when any harm caused by the shutdown or the debt limit would be blamed on the GOP House for not sending the Senate a “clean” bill? In other words, the house would mix the issue of funding the government or lifting the debt ceiling with givebacks on Obamacare, or other things they wanted, and somehow, that wasn’t “clean” which then made that the GOP’s fault.

So what do we have here? We have “comprehensive immigration reform”, aka “border security plus other things the Democrats want”, aka not-a-clean border security bill. And who’s fault if that when this does not get passed because Democrats won’t pass a clean border security bill? Oh, that’s somehow the GOP’s fault too, I guess.

Lying, demonic hack. We are ruled by fascist toddlers - and half the nation is perfectly fine with that state of affairs.

They are trading our lives for deals with illegals so corporations line up their pockets. This is disgusting.

It’s always about the amnesty.

Everything is always about the amnesty.

Mississippi was about the amnesty.

All the other machinations to get retreads to run for seats to keep out conservatives in WI, IN, OH and elsewhere. Targeting conservative House members for primary replacement by amnesty supporters. Dave Brat’s taking out the weasel Eric Cantor scared the literal crap out of them. It also stopped a plan to pass Rubberio’s Gang bill last summer. Guys like him need more reinforcements if we are to keep holding them off. The upper levels of the GOP are all owned by The Cheap Labor Express, very few are on the side of the citizens.

As a whole, you are correct. However, there are a few good republicans that do stand up for the American people — Cruz and Jeff Sessions.

The GOPe members can all rot as far as I am concerned. Unfortunately, it’s the GOPe that control the party.

Sorry, it’s Obama’s fault.

And the problem is not just Mexicans. The Mexican stream has seriously dropped, because there actually is better enforcement at the Mexican border. That’s one of the reasons construction in my area has been slowed down, because there aren’t enough laborers to go around. If we cut off welfare to certain native populations, that might improve the labor turnout, but I doubt it, because they already make their living from crime, ranging from dog-fighting to drugs to contract hits and it’s much easier than spending the day on a hot roof in Florida.

The fact that this guy in SF was able to get in so many times was that he was basically a homeless derelict who slept on park benches, and they manage to fly beneath the radar.

But a far worse problem are the many Muslim immigrants that Obama has brought in LEGALLY, reducing the legal Latin American quota so he could bring them in. Many of them have permanent resident status, but the others soon become illegals, because they simply overstay their visas here with no fear, as did Obama’s auntie in Boston. They get welfare, free college, etc. All the benefits of a citizen. Several of the Tsarnaevs, including the mother and at least one of the bomber brothers, were illegals (expired visas) and were never ever deported, although their status was known.

This has nothing to do with Republicans. But Trump was an idiot by making this about Mexicans, because they’re not the major problem and the real problem is both our choice of legal immigrants (welfare nutbags from Muslim countries) and the fact that the authorities simply don’t deport them even once because they know that these people will go before a judge and get legal status immediately.

Actually the rank and file Republicans are for open borders. Conservatives want it closed, but the GOP has been bought and paid for by the Chamber of Crony Fascism. So in fact obama, the uniparty-Republicans and Democrats are totally responsible for this murder to some extent.
