I've often accused Donald Trump of being a blowhard, and he is. This being said, it's refreshing to have a guy in the race who is financially beholden to no one, giving him the ability to speak his mind on issues that a whole bunch of Americans on both sides of the political divide agree with.

Trump may be a blowhard with bad hair but his rising poll numbers, and the speed at which other so-called "conservative" candidates are trying to distance themselves from him, is putting a smile on my face.

A lot of people, including me, share your ambivalence. He comes across as a buffoon, but he is refreshingly candid (and entertaining). I would take Trump, bad hair and all, over Hillary.

Reagan may have been mocked for being only an actor, rather than a career politician, but look at his legacy.
