Difference of opinion, as I said. You’ve stated yours, I’ve stated mine, politely and succinctly (as it should be).

Moving on.

Don’t use a Biblical illusion to describe the devil (AKA Donald Trump). There is NOTHING righteous about him, and he is hurting the very cause you rightfully push.

Go to your fainting couch. You've got the vapors.

Indeed we are, my Dawg Brother.

I WILL NOT let that clown Donald Trump screw with the GOP primary - he is as bad as the GOP establishment candidates you rightly dispise. HE IS NOT BRAVE

Well, you go right ahead and stop him, princess, but you'll have to buy Free Republic from JimRob if you intend to stop all of the thousands of supportive comments from being posted here.

If you'd stop hyperventilating for two seconds, you might notice that very few Freepers actually take Trump seriously as a candidate, but most are thrilled with the fact that he's forcing the entire political class to finally confront and come to terms with the illegal alien invasion.

Yeah Trump better watch out.....the Feds made Perot crazy and since then they have bettered there tech.

He needs to start pressuring odumbi with coming out with the Larry Sinclair, the Cocaine, the false documentation to get into schools....Trump has the money and contacts to dig that up.

Put the pressure on odumbi and the pressure will let up. Hold it over odumbis head and you protect yourself.

Most FREEPERS - to include the man himself (Jim Rob) are for Cruz. I read a clearly articulated piece on “Real Clear Politics” that explained that Trump being in the race is pushing Senator Cruz out of a slot in the debates (not in the top ten - mostly because of Trump).

Does that sound like a good thing to you? I certainly don’t think so. Trump is a windbag that is the very essence of “populist” which most here on FR despise so much.

Whatever, if the man is amusing to you? Well, to each his own. Personally, I see the man a dangerous and not at all conducive to getting a good nominee out of the primary. He will not win, but hurts others - like Ted Cruz - that would be a possible winner IF he can get heard in debates. He won’t with Trump messing with the primary. We are going to wind up with Jeb Bush thanks to Mr. Trump.

Hey, if I truly believed he was anything other than a self-centered egotist, I might appreciate him keeping an important argument alive. However, I am not that silly to be so duped by a con man.

“We all owe the Donald a favor.”

Only if you don’t want to see Ted Cruz get a slot in the debates. Trump’s presence is hurting Ted.

Well, so am I, but that doesn't mean I'm so pinched-nosed that I can't see that Trump is doing every single American a valuable service by putting the illegal alien issue front and center.

I honestly have my doubts about whether he has what it takes to re-invent himself into a serious candidate, but who the hell cares?

He's got the money, the chutzpah, and the perseverance, to keep hammering away at the milquetoast, namby-pamby, establishment tools in our party for as long as it takes, to force the cowards among them to show their yellow bellies to the public.

THAT'S what all the hoopla around here is all about.

Lastly, I voted for Ted Cruz three times in Texas to get him to the U.S. Senate. I believe in the man, and will do everything I can to see to it that he is our nominee. For starters, he's the first (and only) politician I have ever donated money to, and I have done so every month since he first announced.

Hopefully, you now know where I stand.

I don't know about favors, but he has my undying gratitude for forcing the issue of the illegal alien invasion to the forefront of American politics.

You state the obvious. I fully agree. However, Trump’s rhetoric doesn’t do anything to fix the problem. It will take a more sound thinking individual like Ted Cruz to enforce existing laws and coming up with fixes to thornier issues. Trump is an obnoxious clown that is accomplishing nothing except to make ALL the GOP (not just the GOP-E) look bad because he is an arrogant bozo.

The OBVIOUS is only being discussed in the media now because of Trump. Trump is provoking discussion on topics that the spineless establishment politicians would rather ignore or gloss over. Trump is showing clearly the divisions in the GOP. I agree about Cruz; regardless, truth is truth and truth seeing the light is a welcome change EVEN if the messenger delivering it is an "arrogant bozo".

Leftist are quite adept at both redefining terms and attacking the messenger. I would suggest you concern yourself less with joining the attack of the messenger crowd and instead noting who in the GOP seem willing to further the Leftist meme that infers there is no difference between legal immigrants and illegal aliens.

As far as FIXES to thornier issues. No 'FIX' is necessary. If laws are enforced a majority of the illegals will eventually self-deport on their time frame using their own funding. Until Obama started importing illegals the illegals had no problem funding their own border crossing and travels. A systemic big government run IMPORTATION scheme did not specifically bring them here -sanctuary and illegal opportunities did. As such, get rid of the sanctuary and illegal opportunities and a systemic big government run DEPORTATION scheme will not be need. IN fact, the "We Can't Deport Millions Of Illegals" argument is a Leftist red herring that promotes a false dichotomy of either: Amnesty or a Path To Citizenship. I prefer the third option: Enforce the laws and eventually the illegal alien problem will decrease over time. There is no time limit to 'fix' this; regardless what Obama, the Left or the Illegal Aliens claim or want -THEY can cram it.
