Most FREEPERS - to include the man himself (Jim Rob) are for Cruz. I read a clearly articulated piece on “Real Clear Politics” that explained that Trump being in the race is pushing Senator Cruz out of a slot in the debates (not in the top ten - mostly because of Trump).

Does that sound like a good thing to you? I certainly don’t think so. Trump is a windbag that is the very essence of “populist” which most here on FR despise so much.

Whatever, if the man is amusing to you? Well, to each his own. Personally, I see the man a dangerous and not at all conducive to getting a good nominee out of the primary. He will not win, but hurts others - like Ted Cruz - that would be a possible winner IF he can get heard in debates. He won’t with Trump messing with the primary. We are going to wind up with Jeb Bush thanks to Mr. Trump.

Hey, if I truly believed he was anything other than a self-centered egotist, I might appreciate him keeping an important argument alive. However, I am not that silly to be so duped by a con man.

Well, so am I, but that doesn't mean I'm so pinched-nosed that I can't see that Trump is doing every single American a valuable service by putting the illegal alien issue front and center.

I honestly have my doubts about whether he has what it takes to re-invent himself into a serious candidate, but who the hell cares?

He's got the money, the chutzpah, and the perseverance, to keep hammering away at the milquetoast, namby-pamby, establishment tools in our party for as long as it takes, to force the cowards among them to show their yellow bellies to the public.

THAT'S what all the hoopla around here is all about.

Lastly, I voted for Ted Cruz three times in Texas to get him to the U.S. Senate. I believe in the man, and will do everything I can to see to it that he is our nominee. For starters, he's the first (and only) politician I have ever donated money to, and I have done so every month since he first announced.

Hopefully, you now know where I stand.
