Despite the scaremongering and bullying from those in Brussels, we are waking today with Greece having delivered a resounding No.
That comes despite EU bosses saying that it would mean a Greek exit from the Euro, not to mention the heavy economic pressure placed on the Greek people to go along with the wishes of Brussels. It is a crushing defeat for those Eurocrats who believe that you can simply bulldoze public opinion.
Chief bully-boy Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, and other supposed leaders of the European Union did their best to terrify the Greek people into submitting to the wishes of the European Union. But they utterly failed. The fear espoused by the Yes campaign was rejected. Opinion polls that put the Yes side ahead just days before were way out, as thousands upon thousands of Greek citizens lined the streets chanting “Oxi”.

The Euro was a huge mistake since the stability of the currency would be tied to the worst economies in Europe. It was only a matter of time that one or more of these economic basket cases would collapse, despite ridiculous bailouts by the stronger economies. The Euro was a house of cards destined to collapse.
If that be the case, the money that the U. S. Government steals every day from wage earners (aka income taxes) is also immoral, and we don’t have to pay it.
See how far you get with that one.

Oh my good heavenly grief. I admire Don Quixote and his singular purpose even though he was a fool.
I made it clear to separate the two, i.e. the people + their beliefs and what they did via a vote. And I am hardly alone here in being quite pleased with them sticking it to the EU.
If you can’t see the separation, well ... can’t make it any more clear. There are people Conservatives admire who are deadbeat welfare queens and they like them ONLY because of their politics.

There is one path out for Greece:
1. Declare a moritorium on all debt repayments/interest
2. Immediately print and convert electronic accounts to drachmas
3. Eliminate income tax
4. Continue with reforms.

They haven’t left the EU or the euro yet - and Brussels doesn’t want to allow them to leave. They must, however leave to be restored.

Out in the real world, the Greeks are trying to coerce more payments from more working people in the rest of Europe. The only thing the Greeks lack to make their "revolution" perfect is eubonics.

Yea, if they actually have to end up paying for their socialism, then maybe they’ll end up getting a clue. Eventually you run out of other people’s money. Germany’s in this case.
