Make it really interesting. File a civil rights complaint against the federal government, and since the Civil Rights division is part of DOJ, demand an independent prosecutor.

I can accept that they are grieving, but they did live in San Francisco. I wonder what their feelings on Sanctuary Cities were prior to this incident?

The whole damn city is responsible for this and other tragedies in their quest
for utopian bliss. The voters are all responsible. Anybody there blamed Republicans yet?

I really feel for this family. Especially her father who witnessed her murder - how horrible.

No amount of monetary compensation or apologies (not that any will be forthcoming) can bring her back.

I pray Kathryn is now in the loving hands of Jesus Himself, never to experience pain again. And prayers for strength and comfort for the family.

Not unless the guy had communicated that he was going to kill someone prior to his release.

You have to show a direct link between the two events.

Sucks, but that is the way our system works. That actually makes it worse though politically, the guy has nothing they can sue for....if he has anything in Mexico I suspect the family would have to go down there to sue.

From another story:

"Sanchez said he returned to the US after being deported because he found better-paying jobs in the country than in Mexico. "

Find his employers and put them in jail.

The family of a California woman who was allegedly shot dead by an illegal Mexican immigrant

Allegedly shot dead?

You mean it might not be true? She may still be alive! Quick, someone needs to investigate. I would feel really bad if the illegal was accused of killing someone, and they are not really dead.

In the liberal mind, it is OK if some people are murdered as a side effect of a policy that can be used to attract more voters, legal or illegal, to liberal candidates.

By their actions San Francisco city officials are complicit in the murder.

And people wonder why, the second time they are caught here illegally, I want them to be sent back south of the border with a bullet in the head.

...a California woman who was allegedly shot dead...

So she might not have been shot dead?

“But San Francisco officials admitted that due to a soft policy on undocumented immigrants, they do not always comply with the request”

But, boy are they ready to “crack down” on their
“Click it or Ticket” revenue generating schemes.
Law enforcement for revenue purposes only.

One of the few things lower than being an Obama is
being an employer that hires wetbacks. Septic scum.

OK Donald, you have mentioned one recent murder by an illegal. Maybe it is time to start talking about all the others that have lost their lives?

NOT the SF Chronicle or LA Times.

What what we need are sanctuary cities where AMERICANS can go and be protected from these murdering, AMERICAN-hating invaders from south of the border. Those people are too violent and lawless.

Possibly in federal court.

A civil court in SF would likely be a waste of time...
