Fans at Daytona International Speedway are defending and displaying their Confederate flags.

At NASCAR’s first race in the South since the racing series and its tracks urged fans to no longer wave the banner, dozens of Confederate flags were scattered throughout the vast infield.

The first motorhome inside the Turn 4 tunnel has one flying high above it, and it doesn’t take long to reach double figures when counting them on a stroll through the infield. They’re on clothing, coolers and cars, and even tattooed on skin.

I don’t fly a Confederate flag because blacks find it offensive.
I recently chatted with an old friend of mine who is Black, and he personally finds the flag offensive because he sees it as a symbol of bigotry, reminiscent of lynchings and other such horrific events. While I do understand and respect his point of view, thanks to the politically correct NOT SEES, I've been inclined to buy a few myself just on principle. Interesting how ISIS and Palestinian sympathizers as well as the BDS movement and other Jew haters say the same things about the Israeli flag, they call it a symbol of hate and racism. Speaking of which, maybe Dale Jr should consider changing the nymber on his car 88. According to, of all sources the SPLC 88 is some kind of code used among skinheads and nso-nazis, "H" being the 8th letter of the alphabet, 88=H H as in heil hitler. I could act like a whiny hypersensensitive b*tch and scream anti-Semitism, just to demonstrate absurdity by being absurd.

An enterprising fan on the interstate headed in could have sold out of flags with a certain finger on it.

Letting that fly in the fact of NASCAR would have been very fitting.

If NASCAR enforces it I would hope that NASCAR would find that it has a strictly northern fan base after. NASCAR was once the quintessentially Southern thing. They can change that now. The purses will be smaller with fewer fans.
