Call For An "Assembly Of The States" In May 2016
Breitbart.com ^ | July 5, 2015 | Michael Patrick Leahy

Posted on 07/05/2015 3:30:35 PM PDT by Biggirl

It is time for states to undertake specific steps to re-assert their 10th amendment rights against the usurpations of the federal government. We are, after all, the United States of America, not the United Federal Government of America.

This is not about a Convention of the States. It appears to be outside the Constitution, but it bears a striking similarity to the Rob Natelson/Mark Levin preparatory meetings to precede a COS. I'm not sure how to classify it.

Classify it as a waste of time and a waste of someone’s money.

Remember the last time’s’ something like this happened? This is the start of succession.
Sad, but time it happened. We got a federal government out of control and a party that was supposed to reign in things that show no interest in doing so.
So, its back to the declaration of independence, and another succession.

The idea of a COS is exciting, but also frightening. With the Fed being so corrupt and powerful, able to make people disappear with a single ‘click’, it begs the question of enforceable actions. Having demonstrated no regard for our existing Constitution and no restraint in regards to States Rights, and assuming that the COS would seek amendments designed to further restrain or prevent such abuses, why would the Corruptocrats bother to acknowledge anything coming out of one?
More frightening than that quite predictable result would be the product itself. There are no rules or processes defined for a COS and even if they existed I am not real confident that we, as far as political leaders are concerned, have the intellectual and spiritual maturity required to perform the necessary Constitutional brain surgery.
Meanwhile we must recognize that the tumor is a Congress that no longer represents the American people, is no longer willing to defend the Constitution and their duties as defined by it, and fails to address and correct a runaway Judicial branch.

So what is this “assembly of states” going to accomplish? Sounds like another group bitch session to me, accomplishing zilch. The states are, for the most part, co-opted. They aren’t going to rock the boat, with a handful of exceptions in the deep south.

If states are inclined to rock the boat, then this will play out a lot faster in my view. Sooner or later, one or two states may decide that enough is enough, and decide to go it alone. At that point it’s game, set, and match. And the leftists win big.

I’ll pick on TX and LA to illustrate my point. Let’s say those states walk. Between them they control 56 votes in the electoral college. Those votes would either be redistributed to the remaining states or just left off the total. Ultimately in either case the loss of those votes mean the leftists being in control. Forever.

The leftists can do math. They see the upside potential to getting rid of a few states. That may explain why the left takes such pains to rub our noses in it. They might be trying to provoke a divorce.

Got to remember that despite all the talk, the libs are much, much more smaller in numbers then we realize.

The nonsense they do provoke could in time, be a possible cause of break-up.

Rather it is an out-of-control judical branch that is the problem.
