Expert: Arab Armies 'Falling Apart,' IDF Will Have to Fight ISIS
Arutz Sheva ^ | 3/7/15 | Yaakov Levi

Israel's former ambassador to Egypt, Zvi Mazel, currently a researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA), believes that the Egyptian army is not going to be able to successfully fight ISIS. In the end, he believes, the IDF is going to have to do the job.

“The Egyptian army has not collapsed, and it is very large, with 600,000 soldiers,” said Mazel. “But for two years they have been fighting guerrillas in Sinai, unsuccessfully. They are just not experienced enough in guerrilla warfare.”

Eventually, it is very possible that ISIS will take over Sinai – placing them along Israel's longest border. If that happens, the IDF is going to have to fight ISIS on its own. “Already some of ISIS is in Sinai, operating near the Israeli border,” said Mazel.

The problem is not just in Egypt, but in nearly all Arab countries. “They have huge armies but they fall apart in the face of a threat from a relatively small group,” said Mazel. “Unlike in the north, where there are some groups that hold Hezbollah back from opening a front against us, ISIS are true fanatics who are looking forward to fighting Israel.

Sinai? Pretty brutal, I’m sure. But if the terrorists can get used to it, why not Egyptian troops?

Read a good article somewhere on why Arabs are terrible soldiers. Need to do a search for it.

Arabs have a problem; it is called a religion, a phony religion based on a phony prophet. When the premise is wrong, everything else that follows is. They cannot get out of the conundrum until they denounce and forsake their false religion, but to do so leaves them with nothing. We will continue to have problems with the Muslim Arabs until Christ returns.

Pride of Man, ©1964 by Hamilton Camp

Turn around, go back down, back the way you came
Can’t you see that flash of fire ten times brighter than the day
And behold the mighty city broken in the dust again
Oh God, the pride of man, broken in the dust again

Turn around, go back down, back the way you came
Babylon is laid to waste, Egypt’s buried in her shame
Their mighty men are beaten down, their kings have fallen in the ways
Oh God, the pride of man, broken in the dust again

Turn around, go back down, back the way you came
Terror is on every side, though the leaders are dismayed
Those who put their faith in fire, in fire their faith shall be repaid
Oh God, the pride of man, broken in the dust again

Turn around, go back down, back the way you came
Shout a warning to the nations that the sword of god is raised
On Babylon that mighty city, rich in treasure, wide in fame
It shall cause thy tower to fall and make it be a pyre of flame
Oh God, the pride of man, broken in the dust again

Oh thou that dwell on many waters, rich in treasure, wide in fame
Bow unto a god of gold, thy pride of might shall be thy shame
Oh God, the pride of man, broken in the dust again

And only God can lead the people back into the earth again
Thy holy mountain be restored, thy mercy on thy people Lord

I can’t wait to see the IDF tear the ISIS bastards apart. Like the first Gulf War. Bets on how many [few] hours it takes them?

Ping me, please. I’ve seen a number of comments on this. They just don’t have a history of independent thought at the small unit command level, and they don’t have mechanical competency in maintain modern military hardware. Factor in the IQ issue from generations of consanguinity, and you’ve got some real problems when the going gets tough.

That ISIS will kill you and your wife and your children cannot motivate these troops- then there’s no hope!

“That ISIS will kill you and your wife and your children cannot motivate these troops- then there’s no hope!”

Exactly. In my humble but strongly held opinion, what ISIS and the rest of that ilk never banked on is that there are a lot of us who value our children, their future, and freedom much, much more than our own lives. Too much of the world is living in a false reality, not accepting the reality of the threats we truly face.

Mazel Tov!

I couldn't resist.

Is that anything like "Banzai!"?
