Here’s my whole problem. History on Free Republic.

“WE” collectively seem to rah rah any POS that says things we like without looking past the nose on our face. As I said on a recent thread, remember the Eddie Murphy skit where he talked about getting stoned with his buds and then voting for Jessie Jackson? Then waking up the next day, watching the news and Jessie won?

Thats what happens here. People hear some known bullshit artist say the words that sends tingles down their legs. Then they wake up the next day and Mitt, Mitch, Jonbon and most likely Trump are the GOP noms for their offices.

Is it really a bad idea to try injecting the mans actual history into rabid schoolgirl fanboism?

Or is it acting like a sensible voter?

This is what is happening, and he isn't really even playing a good tune. He hit a couple of notes on opening day, and people just can't get them out of their head.

Madness.

No, it’s not a bad idea to inject the history of any candidate.

But the fact is Trumps current strength comes from GOP weakness,
regardless of his history.

Why blame Trump if the current clowns in the Presidental race
are too afraid to mention his history as you and others do?

It is THEIR responsibility to inject the history this man.

Yet, they are silent. That is not Trumps role. That is the role of the weak
- kneed GOP sisters. Apparently they are too afraid or too PC.

Behind Cruz, who else do you have?

Walker has be flip flop on immigration.

Rubio goes with the wind.

Rand? LOL!

Jeb? That weasel makes me want to throw up.

Christie? LOL!

Perry? I like but not for president. Media would eat him up.

Jindal? Would probably be my second choice but he has no chance.

Carley? Not going to happen. I do like her bashing Hillary.

Carson? Never should have entered.

Lindsey? No way. I do like his stance on the Islamic threat to this nation.

Huckabee? No way.

Kasich? GOPe.

Santorum? LOL! Why? One issue career politician.

Yeah, behind Cruz I would put Trump slightly ahead of Walker and Jindal.

Nothing credible. Two words. “Birth Certificate”. Whatever did happen with his ‘investigation” there anyway?

A guy preaching fences and anti illegal/Pro America jobs rhetoric that seems to profit considerably from overseas production is less than the best spokesman for his ideas.

I don’t blame trump for the GOP clowns. I blame trump for hypocrisy. Sepeaking out against clowns while wearing Bozo hair and size 20 shoes isn’t exactly credible.

Trump is DRIVING the clown bus for the moment because the GOP sisters
are too afraid to take his license.

You seem to be suffering from TDS. Ask your pharmacist for some relief, you might find it in the hygiene section.

I like the fact that Norm is unyielding in his opposition to Trump.

Every populist movement needs detractors to ensure it doesn't turn into something genuinely creepy/dangerous.

I have to believe that people that were so very upset about the loss of dignity over a rainbow colored white House and applauding a reality show spectacle are suffering a hell of a political disconnect.

I am not sure that I would go as far as to call Trump supporters liberals. They might be, but this situation is very similar to how conservatives react to Trey Gowdy.

He sure makes interesting sound bytes from time to time, but actual conservative agenda or investigation related accomplishments? Zip, nada, none, and there are still people here who will defend Gowdy big time aginst anyone who points out his nothing record.

There is another poster in this thread suggesting that GOP weakness is creating the atmosphere for this where anyone who shows any sign of being different from them is able to catch a lot of support, and I think he is right about that. No one likes the GOP, and no one should.

However there are a lot of people looking to lie to conservatives and looking to fool conservatives, and that is not a hard thing to do at all.

All you have to do is toss a little red meat, and boom, you got ‘em.

The thing people don’t seem to realize is how many actual conservatives are there in this country that want to seek power for the purpose of reducing power and restoring freedom?

I’d say the answer to that question is very, very few. Who even actually teaches conservatism in this country? Who makes conservatives of our young people by way of emitting and explaining the what conservatism is and what its benefits are? Almost no one. Mark Levin does, but I really can’t think of anyone else who actually does this.

So, considering how rare true conservatives are and how rare any actual conservative teaching is, what are the chances that Trump is an actual conservative?

None. I don’t even think he has even the remotest concept of conservatism.

Norm and I have agreed on many issues here.

Norm is right about Trumps history.

However, that does not mean Trumps words on immigration are false.

Trumps current strength comes from current GOP weakness regarding
immigration.

Trump has already smoked out Rubio.
Is that a bad thing? No, it is not.

Well I don’t know what else to call them. He is pro gay, Pro Tranny, Pro illegal with his ‘letem stay if they work hard’, has his production overseas while preaching jobs for Americans, is a reality star that gets off on firing people for entertainment and profit, Donates 7 figures to libs like Hillary and NYC’s finest like Rangel and jumps parties with a frequency Jim Jeffords would envy.

Now someone going to the FR wall in support of that person sure as Sam hell not conservative. Since ALL those things are what liberals do and they support them, what ELSE are we to call them?

Just because they SAY they arent libs does not mean they arent. Their support of a liberal shows they are.
